Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS

Super cool and creative. Really enjoyed this even though i dont understand the language, just a lot of fun with some really high highs and meh lows.

Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES
72

Nice and short and easy. I love Egypt and Davey Boy Smith could have been so so so good

Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES 3

As per usual he's killing it. This is the best of the trilogy and just a fun listen.

The Last Dinner Party - From the Pyre
87

So dramatic, big, loud, and like an opera in front of an execution. The cover portrays this perfectly too and im glad i stumbled into this

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
78

Just a ton of fun. You get the feeling he just recorded this for a good time and its hard to not have a good time listening to it.

Ethel Cain - Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You
86

Extremely immersive and sounds like what it would sound like if someone who made sad movies made an album. It was beautifully written with awesome storytelling, while also incredibly sad and ambient.

Little Simz - Lotus
84

Extremely intimate, introspective, and her most mature sounding album yet. She is as good as it gets when it comes to introspective rapping. Beautiful album with amazing features

Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving

Most beautiful album I've heard all year. Excellent singing with extremely introspective themes and lyrics. Just a beautiful listen and a joy to listen to.

Good Neighbours - Blue Sky Mentality

While there were some extremely fun tracks with some catchy hooks, and some great moments too, a lot of this felt way overproduced and left me feeling more empty than with the fun filled joy I look for in the genre

Tame Impala - Deadbeat

After a five year break, I really expected so so much more. It sounds like this album was made in about a week, except for a few tracks. There are so many soulless intrusmentals on this album which make me feel absolutely nothing. Parts of etherial connection and end of summer just drag on. The opening track is great and has a really nice, groovy bounce to it which gave it an awesome house feel. Dracula was awesome too, but other than those the only tracks I would take from this are Obsolete ... read more

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!

The live/jazz instrumentals on this album made it a joy to listen to which feels just as colorful and bright as the cover. Also appreciated being reminded to be happy about being outside

The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
78

Extremely well written and structed album and was extremely consistent throughout. A ton of fun to listen to with the title track and "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" being strong standouts. The album title is true too now

Massive Attack - Mezzanine
91

This album was such a cool experience which I will certainly go back to. Its my first real experience with the genre other than Dummy and i loved it. Flawless production and such a dark and ominous vibe throughout. So so unique and a very special album which i will have more thoughts on in the future for sure

Geese - Getting Killed
93

Absolutely awesome song writing. Such a joy to listen to. I know this will not be my final rating, this will take a ton more listens to be able to fully absorb this album. So much sound and so much to keep track of. 3D country has grown on me with every listen and i think so will this.

Upon revisiting this is just amazing and unbelievably exciting. Every second keeps you guessing in the best ways possible, and it never fails to throw your expectations out the window. They are capable of ... read more

Tame Impala - InnerSpeaker

An extremely solid, and consistent listen, this album provides an etherial experience with a really cool soundscape making you feel like youre travelling through galaxies and dreams. Not his best work for sure, but a great debut and a strong show of whats to come. It doesn't hit nearly as hard as his later work, and can best be enjoyed as background music

Mobb Deep - Infinite
67

Really solid, enjoyable rap album. A great return/posthumous album and every single feature absolutely kills it. Alchemist does very well as usual too, should have produced the full album

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

It feels unfair to other music that this exists. It is simply far too layered, deep, consistent, and so incredibly passionate about the issues discussed that it cannot be anything except perfect. Even taking away how important and meaningful what Kendrick is saying here is, musically it still stands up far above anything else I have heard

Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
92

Simply just great, fun, passionate rock music filled with interesting topics and creativity. While not completely origonal in the slightest, it absolutely kills what it attempts to do in every way. I will always love this album and always go back for more. Extremely consistent and such high energy throughout, the perfect 2000s rock album with all the nostalgia in the world.

Ween - The Mollusk
85

I had no idea what to expect, and I came out not fully knowing what I listened to or where these ideas were even born from, but i am pretty impressed and very intruiged. There are points where you feel like a lost, drunk sailor at sea in the 1800s, and others where you have some genuinely catchy and fun music which you can't help but love. Finding out that this album alone inspired Spongebob makes too much sense and although its probably not an album I'll come back to all that much, ... read more

A pretty haunting album overall, with the cover looming over you as you listen through. The content however, was much smoother than expected with The Alchemist providing some of the cleanest, most silky beats I have heard. An awesome listen and well worth the time, with some all time rapping from the pair. Looking forward to their next album and also was lucky enough to see these guys live. So so immersive and dark, giving you every reason to go back to it.
