One of the darkest folk albums ever made, and also probably the purest expression of Leonard Cohen’s genius.
Famous Blue Raincoat is one of the greatest songs ever written, just for the record.
This is probably going to be my only time reviewing a Quadeca project, because I simply don’t get this man’s appeal.
The production is outstanding for the most part, I just find Quadeca himself to be incredibly weak as a performer, especially when he’s trying to be melodic.
Maybe he’ll grow on me with time, but for now I’m comfortable just staying away from his music.
DEFINITELY not as good as songs, but that isn’t really saying all that much.
Her songwriting and vocals are still exceptional, I just feel like the whole album could stand to move a little faster, and it lacks the mystical quality that made songs so special.
One of the most overhated albums of all time, I get the hate for Ed’s later stuff, but this is an incredibly charming and extremely fun folk album with some great emotional moments
I could’ve done without The Man, however
The closest we’ll ever get to having prime Linkin Park back
I kind of agree with the consensus, there are some interesting ideas here but it’s ruined by the shit production and the awful vocals, enough potential I still didn’t actively dislike it though
Edit: Holy god WHY is Heroin King 17 minutes long
