This album is so bizarre to me and feels like it exists without purpose.
Most of the time it's just the same repetitive bars that we've been hearing from Peggy for the past decade, and at worst it's antithetical to anything that fans and even glazers were wanting to hear. The sound of the album not only grows stale as it straggles on, it seems to have lost the spark that JPEGmafia's production once had. We lost the very hazy and dream-like atmosphere in favor of a vapid ... read more
A "Body of Work" that transcends the confinement of musical genres.
Nothing in here is cohesive, but divided it remains beautiful.
Best tracks: Guest List, Turn Off the Lights, Slavery, Love Me Not, Never Feel Again
This is my favorite album of all time and I'm working on a very cohesive review for it
YouTube Poop AAAAAAAAAUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
When I sleep I tend to have YouTube videos play in the background as white noise. I grew up doing it a lot as a kid so It's pretty difficult for me to sleep in total silence. Another amazing tdstr release I can't get enough of this guy!!!!!
The variety of intensity and the snappy mixing makes everything ear candy too me. I love this style so much!!!!!
Best tracks: On a Monday, Combat Surf, Championship
Sorry but I think this album drops the ball a bit. All of the cool little bells and whistle in the instrumentation is great ear candy, but nothing really yearns me to come back and listen again. Numerology just clears everything on this album.
Best tracks: Heart of Darkness, Opposite Teacher
Gotta watch the movie after hearing this.
I'm So Tired is a very incredible and bittersweet song, but I think some people are downplaying the rest of the album just because of that songs presence. Compared to the rest of the album It's fish out of water, but the air surrounding it is still a beautiful haze. The demos are incredibly charming, and even the songs that present themselves as finished versions perfectly encapsulate an incredibly somber lo-fi feel.
Best tracks: Pink ... read more
Not as cohesive as Your World Conceals the Burn, but I'm still holding out for the new LP!!!!
The last track actually fucks so hard for having the most trojan horse name of all time
Ok, this one is gonna take a bit to dig into so I’m gonna have to give a little context for what the hell this album is about.
In around 2008, the SCP wiki was created and fostered a community of various users to come together with the goal to make a data base for the SCP foundation. The SCP foundation is a fictional government organization that was made to secure and contain anomalous creatures, objects, and other strange phenomena in order to protect humanity (Hence it’s full ... read more
