hadn’t listened to this before i listened to getting killed, but i have to say, this is somehow even better.
i think these guys took psychedelics and actually managed to find god
very chill album with cool moments. dunbar highschool marching band and soaring pt 2 are my favorites.
this is just as good as anything they’ve released. it might be a bit less accessible because of the song lengths though. Sister Andrea is the most straightforward, almost prog sounding song, while Dream took a few listens to really get into for me.
i think if you loved any of their first three albums, you’ll love this one too.
maturing is realizing epitaph has always been the best song
i wasn't expecting this to be that great, but every time i listen to it i like it more. some really really good jazz rock on here. it can be a bit abrasive at times, but that's not really to its detriment. i think dreams is the strongest track with the best improv, but thirty days hath september is a close second.
i genuinely haven’t been able to stop listening to this album for almost two months now. every few days i remember one of the catchy riffs from some song on here and have to relisten to the whole thing.
i liked it but didn't really GET it till recently. this is absolutely just as good as their older stuff.
