To me, this was Kool Moe Dee's best release. A lot of people go by selling records, but this album had it all. Every song sends a message to you in such a way that you can actually feel what he is trying to say. Though it was released back in 1989, the whole album lives up to its name today.
From a musical standpoint, this album was released at a time where the new movement of gangsta rap was taking it's place. New Jack swing was becoming a thing of the past. From a lyrical standpoint, I think this was Kool Moe Dee's worst album. Two songs that stood out here. The majority of these songs in this album are very enjoyable to listen to. To me, the only one that I would pass on is "Rock You". It would have been better with different instrumentals instead of sampling Queen's original song. Overall, great album and one of just a handful of Hip-Hop albums from the 80s that is still talked about today.
One of the greatest releases by the Notorious B.I.G. Song that is still very active today.
