there are some good moments on this record:

but most of this album feels like its trying to be more interesting then it actually is.

its evanescence, it goes incredibly hard, the sky is blue. these are just facts.

Most of the singing on this album is like that family guy bit where Peter can name all 50 states in the US in under a second. production is fine, playing is sometimes good, this could be a great thrash metal record… but nope.

great album buts its a bit unserious at times. like "gemilude" and the first few songs. but other then that and some songs being too long, this album it pretty good.

i think this records good, but kinda in over its head at points. at some points it tries to do these long guitar solo parts, but Neil (or whoever’s playing lead guitar) has a very simple guitar style, and that leads to those sections feeling kinda boring.

i very much appreciate the musician-ship on this record, the writing and vocal melodies are where I have a problem. the space in between them gets kinda boring after a while. but i think this record is pretty good other wise.

is it weird to say this album is lowkey the musical equivalent to edging? i appreciate the weird and horrifying sound they got going, but im not really feeling it yet. maybe ill warm up to it though, idk.

this record is the epitome of "...ok". i get why its important in musical history, but it gets samey and predictable after a while.

im very impressed with this record. its just songs that feel good to listen to. its not flashy or impressive, its just its own thing. the only song i have an issue with is "king of birds", but other then than that, i think this is quite good.

i think "sonnet" and "the drugs dont work" are pretty alright, but this albums shtick gets old after "space and time", aka this albums mission statement, because my god these songs can be long and quite boring in my opinion. i rated this a 60 because even though the music isnt my personal thing its still interesting and unique.
