Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
47

there are some good moments on this record:
Opalite
a majority of cancelled
the chorus on "eldest daughter"
the ending of the title track.

but most of this album feels like its trying to be more interesting then it actually is.
this albums title feels bizarre to me. the central theme of the record, at least from what I picked up, is taylors relationship with Travis Kelce, so why is this album called "the life of a showgirl"? Furthermore, the albums promotional material ... read more

Evanescence - Afterlife

LETS
FUCKING
GO

Kanye West - BULLY
71

good step in the right direction. all the love fucking bangs

Evanescence - The Open Door
77

good follow up, "all that im living for" is a fuckin BANGER, but theres a couple of duds on here too *ahem your star *ahem

Evanescence - Fallen
80

its evanescence, it goes incredibly hard, the sky is blue. these are just facts.

Napalm Death - Scum
40

Most of the singing on this album is like that family guy bit where Peter can name all 50 states in the US in under a second. production is fine, playing is sometimes good, this could be a great thrash metal record… but nope.

Mitar Subotić - São Paulo Confessions
50

its ok, but a bit boring. probably not my type of music.

Roni Size & Reprazent - New Forms
86

really great record, but waaaay too long.

Cream - Disraeli Gears
85

fucking love this record, the endings kinda weak tho

80

great album buts its a bit unserious at times. like "gemilude" and the first few songs. but other then that and some songs being too long, this album it pretty good.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere
78

i think this records good, but kinda in over its head at points. at some points it tries to do these long guitar solo parts, but Neil (or whoever’s playing lead guitar) has a very simple guitar style, and that leads to those sections feeling kinda boring.

Yes - The Yes Album
75

i very much appreciate the musician-ship on this record, the writing and vocal melodies are where I have a problem. the space in between them gets kinda boring after a while. but i think this record is pretty good other wise.

Astor Piazzolla & Gary Burton - The New Tango: Recorded at the Montreux Festival
90

love this already. the musician ship, the compositions, its all quite great. some songs are a tad long, but i understand why.

Sonic Youth - EVOL
69

is it weird to say this album is lowkey the musical equivalent to edging? i appreciate the weird and horrifying sound they got going, but im not really feeling it yet. maybe ill warm up to it though, idk.

Ramones - Ramones
53

this record is the epitome of "...ok". i get why its important in musical history, but it gets samey and predictable after a while.

"influential" doesn't automatically mean "great"

R.E.M. - Document
87

im very impressed with this record. its just songs that feel good to listen to. its not flashy or impressive, its just its own thing. the only song i have an issue with is "king of birds", but other then than that, i think this is quite good.

Common - Be
80

lets gooooo. this is great.

The Verve - Urban Hymns
60

i think "sonnet" and "the drugs dont work" are pretty alright, but this albums shtick gets old after "space and time", aka this albums mission statement, because my god these songs can be long and quite boring in my opinion. i rated this a 60 because even though the music isnt my personal thing its still interesting and unique.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
88

this shits tight. i see why gambino likes it so much.
