Listened to this at the gym and I subconsciously started running faster when HEAT came on. This album gets better by the year. The chemistry is so mind bogglingly good that i don’t know how this can ever be replicated. Brockhampton is a one of a kind and this album is a perfect representation.

The first four bangers are still some of the best tracks, but I feel like people dismiss how fantastic the rest of the album is. This album perfectly encapsulates the youth of our generation. Kevin’s venerable, infectious choruses can be aggressive but they always have a emotional potency.

And no other Brockhampton album is this cohesive. The pacing is perfect, throwing BUMP in the tracklist is genius to keep the energy going but still being introspective. And unlike the other albums in the trilogy, no song feels like filler.

And each member brings their A-Game. Kevin’s aforementioned hooks, Merlyn’s introspective but flashy micro-verses, Ameer’s punchlines, Joba’s beautiful singing, Dom’s flows, and Bearface’s outro, WASTE, is amazing. And the production is fucking spectacular. Romil and Q3 better become legends, because all of this shit is spectacular.
Overall this is one of the best hip hop albums of the 2010’s and anyone who hasn’t given this a chance or needs to revisit this album, needs to give this a listen.
