"AN EP FULL OF ENERGY, ALTHOUGH NOTHING REMARKABLE"

Excision this time gets together with Dion Timmer to make a whole EP focused on their styles, and I consider it one of the heaviest works they've done in collaboration.

This is definitely on another level in terms of the aggressiveness that these two could give you. It's chaotic in every way, robotic in terms of mixing, and of course, melodic at times.

However, it's not a work in his discography that he would return to often ... read more

"AN EP FULL OF NOISE AND CONSISTENCY"

At a time when Dubstep was getting a lot more aggressive, "Dinosaur" and "Mammoth" came up with this. I see that the style of these two work very well for an EP. And Excision has adapted their style very well with Wooli's to create heavy songs in all aspects.

I like that they intersperse aggressive Dubstep with Melodic Dubstep on a couple of tracks. The aggressive tracks have quite hissy and loud sounds, but are so well ... read more

"A FLAT, GENERIC & MEDIOCRE RIDDIM ALBUM"

A lot of people seem to hate this album, and I think I understand why.

I feel like Excision has focused more in recent years on their Bass Music events (I say this especially because of the huge Spotify schedule of events right now and in the coming months), which I can ... read more

"A CLEANER EXCISION ALBUM WITH MEMORABLE VOCALS"

Much of this album is cleaner and more interesting sounding than their previous two albums, which makes it more palatable in quite a few ways in my opinion.

It seems that Excision chose the vocals (and samples) very well, since it is the best thing that the album has, and it is what I have stayed in special. There is variety in these, starting with the melancholy of Sullivan King in "Wake Up", the depth of Shallows in ... read more

"A VERY MIXED ALBUM IN QUALITY"

It seems that Excision wanted to make their sound more aggressive and exaggerated, but they left out the consistency of the tracks, especially when you realize that this LP has 4 more tracks than their previous album "Codename X".

The first half of the album is solid and entertaining, if unremarkable, but with very creative intros on the first few tracks. The rest of the album is pretty dull in development that you get bored quickly and ... read more
