"Drake the type of guy" is everything that stuck in my head during the entire record; of course, the memes are a reason why, but Drake does NOT do himself any favor with the material he's hitting us with.
ICEMAN may be one of my favorite Drake projects in a while. One of his best projects in years, but only
The album has some good things going for it. I loved a lot of the beats, and the production was pretty good overall. The beat switches are still trash... but that's ... read more
Going back to Kanye's music, for some reason I really wanted to revisit this record; an album that I've seen as his worst for years. Which, of course, it's not—the VULTURES run proved me wrong. However, as solo material... it is a pretty rough project.
First things first, I don't think the album is terrible. I dislike it, I think it is bad, but I wouldn't dare to say it is OBJECTIVELY terrible. The intentions are there and the ideas can be good, yet remarkably ... read more
BULLY is Ye playing it safe after almost destroying his public image and career during the VULTURES run & another massive twitter rant.
This a simple yet entertaining project, trully a step in the right direction. However, so little that stands out compared to the best moments of his career—even Donda, one of his messiest records ever.
I enjoyed this project, been spinning it for days and I gotta say it's decent; even if the second half isn't as good. The problem is- the ... read more
Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally is such a fitting title. He just missed a word describing low effort.
I don't think the record is bad at all, but there's too much lacking for it to be a good or even DECENT album. First things first, it's pretty forgettable; the standouts are great, really catchy songs, but the rest...? Uhhh, too much of a snooze fest.
The record kicks off strong, with an incredible opener: Aperture, really the best song on the album, even if upon release ... read more
once again, kind of indifferent... trust me, i would love to hate this thing, but it's not that bad.
i pretty much forgot about this release even after a couple listens; i'm feeling low effort, like this album, so i'll just write everything without caps.
bruno mars came back with another record, a solo project after a decade, and it is mediocre. first things first, i had no expectations at all; i found the first single decent at best, but my hopes stood more on his legacy. the ... read more
Icon is a safe, simple yet entertaining album; charming and toxic as well!
Brent has been building his image for quite a while, with features and the commercial success of his last project, WASTELAND. An album I wasn't crazy about, due to the bloat and a too long of a record. But this time, I think he fixed some issues.
I think the record starts pretty good; playing it simple but with beautiful vocals and instrumentals; and it just gets better with the progression. have to., ... read more
This being lower than Don't Be Dumb should be considered terrorism, I’ll say that.
Ca$ino turned out to be… great, a really GREAT project. I was maybe expecting a little bit more from Baby Keem; after all, it’s been five years since The Melodic Blue released, and yet all we got is 36 minutes of material. Good material for sure, but it may disappoint some… and that does include me. This is a pretty tight, concise, and short record, and it pays off for the ... read more
Almost forgot this even released, which is pretty self-explanatory, I guess...
Wuthering Heights is a soundtrack for the movie with the same name, and it is pretty decent. The music, of course — I don't think I'll watch the movie 🎥.
I'm not crazy about this project to he honest; it's pretty thrown together, but as a soundtrack... it does deliver. Tracks like House and Chains of Love got me really interested for a couple of months, which kind of bothers me ... read more
A decade's gone by since The Life Of Pablo released, and still to this day one of the riskiest, most experimental and greatest albums made by a mainstream Hip-Hop artist in the 2010s. A personal favorite of mine.
Let's start with the concept, the WHICH / ONE and the Pablo that Kanye wants to be on this record — even in life. The perspectives are clear on this record: Pablo Picasso, a revolutionary artist; Pablo Escobar, a genius distributor (in Kanye's case compared to his ... read more
60% Interludes, 30% actual songs, 10% actual good music 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, this one's pretty rough... I'll say this: I get the vision, I don't take that away. I get the experimentation, there are elements to that for sure. But don't be dumb, people, this is just a weak collection of half-baked tracks. And the more I listen to it, the more I hate it...
This album is pretty weird, I don't know how to feel at all. All these songs (interludes) are way too short, ... read more
the fall-off dropped, and it's actually good!
REVIEW 29
a strong start with two six, a menacing yet emotional start for the record. everything good about j. cole's music is reflected on this first track, followed by one of the best tracks on the record: SAFETY, with great storytelling and performance, the reason why a lot of people enjoy his music. another highlights have to be Poor Thang, Drum n Bass and Lonely at the Top, mostly due to the production and catchiness. I have more ... read more
Wanted to revisit this record so bad, and this was the perfect excuse! An extended version of an already amazing release, but even better this time around.
Vanisher, Horizon Scraper on its own is one of the best record I've heard this decade, full of colors, fear and an ambient that it's total perfection. However, this time around, with 2 new songs and an EP attached to it, I gotta admit I like this way more that I used to.
The track LERANING TO SWIM has to definetly be my favorite, ... read more
A 3 Anthony??? Thank you! Now I can have an opinion.
OCTANE is one of the most cold and boring listens I've had in a while, but I didn't hate it at all.
I think there are good productions and performances by Don T, charisma at the very least. However... I'm really unimpressed with this record, and I was really bored while listening to this and while making this review. I tried to listen to this multiple times and took me like 5 listens just to "get something" out of ... read more
I'll say this: I'm not a big fan of J. Cole generally, I don't love his voice nor performances at all, but I have to admit this is really good...
I'm really excited for The Fall-Off... DISC 2 TRACK 2 was already great, but this freestyles were just the cherry on top. I think these tracks are really high quality, the rapping is amazing most of the time and the production is really enjoyable.
I personally loved the first and last tracks of the record, the best ones by far, ... read more
I ain't no fan, I had no idea who IDK is, but I really enjoyed what he delivered here.
I had a lot of fun listening to this, a really entertaining project with increidlbe production, features and performances. The record starts pretty good with the track HALO, a vibe that continues until you get to the half of the record, which has a different production style and lyrical themes. A good decision to be made in my opinion, due to how good IDK and features perform.
Tracks like P.O, CLOVER, ... read more
Most of the people already know the controversy/context behind DON'T BE DUMB, so there's no reason at all to give an opinion about that. It's about the music in the end, and I'll stick to it.
Don't Be Dumb is a decent Hip-Hop mainstream record in this era. We're living in dark times for mainstream releases, looking back at 2025 is enough, and I believe A$AP is nowhere near that level of mediocrity —HOWEVER, nowhere near to perfection.
The beats are cool, ... read more
Deadbeat is not exactly bad. It’s pretty much a disappointing, underwhelming, and mediocre release. For me? It is bad ✅.
What makes this project such a divisive release is the caliber of the artist we’re talking about. Tame Impala took five years to release this, only to drop a “half-baked, YouTube low-quality Dance & House album.” That’s not what the public was expecting.
There aren’t a lot of good songs on here… the standouts would be My Old ... read more
