JPEGMAFIA - SCARING THE HOES: DIRECTOR'S CUT
50

Hi! I came to rant about the new mixes, some of them suck. Please leave the OG mixing stay on the first release, the DIRECTOR'S CUT is its own thing.

Had no idea this released, what a waste honestly. The cover sucks and the mixing in a lot of these songs is not hitting like it used to, it doesn't matter if it sounds "cleaner".

The tracklist still fire tho...

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES: DLC PACK
80

The DLC is similar to SCARING THE HOES in some ways, but for the most part, this production style is WAYYY different. Their performances and charisma is what stays pretty much the same.

The 15 minutes in runtime is pretty good for an EP, and they definitely know how to use that small amount of time. A catchy intro and a grandious finale is what the project has to offer, with two tracks in between; one is amazing and the other one decent. I love the track HERMANOS, there's something so ... read more

JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES
100

SCARING THE HOES is exactly the type of record you DO NOT want to listen to in public. I'ma be honest, this record does turn you on once you click with it πŸ’₯.

This album hits different... there's a lot of insanity on this record. What Peggy & Danny crafted is basically a drug, an album you'll never forget. And also, the reason a lot of us will never get a girlfriend.

The memes will never not be funny 😹😹😹. The "KIDS SEE GHOSTS for degenerates", ... read more

Earl Sweatshirt - Live Laugh Love
85

Live Love Laugh is such a good vibe, good and great from beginning to end!

Earl Sweatshirt outdid himself in a lot of aspects, one of my favorites is the structure. I love a short album, especially one that gets better with each listen and with each track. The best moments come at the end and that's SOOOOO rewarding—however, that could be a problem to some people, that's because the record takes its time to develop, which might piss off some listeners.

When it comes to ... read more

Maruja - Pain to Power
89

Maruja's debut Pain to Power does make justice to its title! One of the πŸ”₯ albums of 2025.

First of all, the lyrics are absolutely great. I love the message, love the delivery and how the Rap Rock performances are done. Combine all of that and you get some of the greatest songs to come out this year, such as: Look Down on Us, Saoirse and Born to Die. One of the craziest and most savage track runs out there, especially with such detail.

Now, on the production... I really like it, ... read more

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
39

The Life of a Showgirl is one of Taylor's most impressive bodies of work to this day πŸ’šπŸ§‘β€‹β€‹. But not for good reasons.

Guys… I’m gonna be honest, this is bad. This is really bad. First of all, expectations. I know there wasn’t much to look forward to after the terrible and cold reception of albums like TTPD and Midnights. However, there were some things that made us think this would be a different and better approach, such as:

- Consistancy, only 12 tracks ... read more

Young Thug - UY SCUTI
15

Had enough of bullsh*t, this is awful. Garbage, trash, bad—every insult you could imagine is valid while describing this record.

Mainstream Hip-Hop has been dead for a while, especially when it comes to original ideas, but this has gotten too bad and so sad. Rappers aren't rapping anymore, and when it comes to Thug, I at least expected some sort of humor—even fun performances, but no. No, no, no... so wrong about that.

UY SCUTI is basically an hour and 20 of Young Thug ... read more

Cardi B - AM I THE DRAMA?
30

Cardi B is in fact the drama, just not a drama people is interested in.

This is too bad, I'm surprised how terrible the record is. Really amazed people aren't so mad for this one, it was terrible; the bars aren't hitting, the production is DECENT at best and the structure of the tracks/tracklist is pretty bad.

The record, at least as the title states, should talk about her drama—but the drama seems almost nonexistent, just a lot of a sex and throwing at the haters. Sure, ... read more

twenty one pilots - Breach
90

Breach by Twenty One Pilots marks the end of an era, with one of their best albums ever—some could even argue their best.

This was one of the most difficult listens I've had this year, not because I disliked the album, but rather had no way to describe how I feel about it... this was one of my most anticipated albums of 2025, and I'm happy to inform it delivered! First things first, this marks the end of everything, a trip through the entire journey they've been building ... read more

Ed Sheeran - Play
39

I’ma be honest, I don’t hate Ed Sheeran’s music that much. I actually enjoyed his last two projects quite a bit — I liked the singer/songwriter style of Subtract and the aesthetics of Autumn Variations. But this new album, Play, is actually pretty bad.

First of all, I don’t understand why he went back to making pop music, especially something this dated. Second, the songs are just basic. I know he’s not the greatest songwriter ever, but a lot of the writing ... read more

Justin Bieber - SWAG II
39

After the incredible success of SWAG, it was a good move to release a second part, especially for the numbers and fans who loved the record. Personally, I thought it was bad, but there were a lot of great ideas put into that record, which made me hope he would learn and get better. And... I'm sorry, this was awful.

One of my favorite things about the first installment were the beats and vocals Justin was hitting in tracks like "ALL I CAN TAKE" or "WAY IT IS", but here ... read more

Westside Gunn - HEELS HAVE EYES 2
70

Another album. Another good release. One more time calling the bitches!

Solid features, beats, and themes. The lenght is pretty good and what Westside does in most of the tracks is pretty good; specially PRICK and BLOW HENDRY, the most focused tracks lf the record, which is something great, but I wish the rest of the record was like that...

I think my biggest miss whe it comes to Westside Gunn's music is the lack of structure in his music, which is fine, just doesn't always land for ... read more

Hayley Williams - Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party
87

I'm sorry, but, like... WHAT!?!? I had no ideas she was THIS good on her solo career.

I've known Paramore for years to this point, and been loving a lot of their stuff — "Ain't It Fun" is one of my favorite songs of all time. Anyways, I was pretty interested on this project when the 18 singles were originally released, 'cause they came with no album at all, so had to give that a chance, right...? I've been out of tune for a while, there's too much ... read more

Joey Bada$$ - Lonely At The Top
75

Lonely At The Top is Joey pointing a gun to my head and forcing me to say he's the goat.

There are mixed feelings on this one. I really enjoyed the project overall and most of these tracks; DARK AURA, STILL & LONELY AT THE TOP are amazing — so, yeah, the experience is kind of great but... not amazing? From Joey, I kinda expected a little more. Could be the shorter runtime, the underwhelming tracks in the middle of the record or the lack of stunning moments. But there's ... read more

Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend
63

Man's Best Friend is one of the pop albums of 2025 for sure.

Sabrina did good enough for this record. Not crazy, not great, good enoughπŸ‘β€‹.

After the success of her last album "Short 'n Sweet" , it was pretty clear she would conitnue releasing material, but this close? Her last album was just a year ago. So, yeah, I was surprised in a good way... and a bad way — It's always cool to get new pop music, but her releasing too soon and the first teaser ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
90

GNX is what a victory lap feels like. This is the loosest, yet most entertaining, Kendrick Lamar's music has ever been.

I'm not going to mess around with this one — GNX is amazing. The LA aesthetics, production, and themes are all strong, but what really stands out is the album’s flow. I’ll put it this way: I love so much about DAMN. and Mr. Morale, but the tracklisting on GNX is... better? You can move from song to song and find nothing but heat. For example, the ... read more

Chance the Rapper - STAR LINE
63

Yeah, it's good. This is nothing too crazy tbh, but it's a good listen. Sure, Chance fell off a time ago after dropping one of the most dissapointing albums of the past decade- but it's cool to see a GOOD comeback.

I'll say this, I think the overall experience is really good, but the filler it's absolute garbage. This could've been better as a 40 minutes project, honestly. However, I still enjoy what Chance delivered here, is refreshing and some of his best songs ... read more

JID - God Does Like Ugly
87

Really good, a great album, but not even close to perfect.

God Does Like Ugly is a record that's going to have you at the edge of your sit with a lot of tracks, but kind of bored with another ones. Don't get me wrong, i love this album and there's a lot to praise- I think the critics scores are total garbage, but there's notable flaws within this tracklist.

First of all, the tracklist, I love how dyanmic its production is. There's a lot of tastefull instrumentals, ... read more

50

Decent tracks, awful selection, pointless release. I liked Behold, that was great, but the rest is kind of pointless.

However, I like how he sets a totally different vibe from "The Forever Story" by the very first track, you can see the difference.

Best track: Behold

Worst track: Knew Better

Gunna - The Last Wun
33

The Last Wun has to be one of the most unecesary albums of this year, I don't think there was ANY reason for Gunna to drop- specially garbage like this.

Look, I don't hate Gunna, I think he can make good tracks and performances when he wants to- However... HE NEEDS TO GET ANOTHER PRODUCER. JESUS, I like a lot about this first half and last tracks of this record, specially his performances, but the song structures are total garbage, he can't deliver A SINGLE GOOD TRACK. Even with ... read more
