The song goes through experimental pop and it fits him so well. The intro is long but it gives it a personal touch, still it's not his best song but its up there. People who "yawned" or expected it to be a "as it was pt.2" and rated it low should have open minds with experimental music, not everything needs to be a commercial pop song
Well just heard the album and she never misses on her vocals, the songs are amazing as each goes deeply lyrically and nicely produced, yet when I look back at her past album the growth isn't really showing and her sound identity was barely in the album. The songs aren't bad but they aren't unique or special and can be easily mistaken to be from another artist like 'for the night' with Billie Eilish. Going now to her 12th studio album and still having passion is amazing, this album isn't my personal favorite. It's one of those albums that you go just to listen to the hits and not the album as a whole, and the album tracks show exactly why. Many of the tracks felt disappointing mostly because taylor set this expectation of being a 1989 and folklore love child and it ends up actually being a repuation and lover outtakes.
