The song goes through experimental pop and it fits him so well. The intro is long but it gives it a personal touch, still it's not his best song but its up there. People who "yawned" or expected it to be a "as it was pt.2" and rated it low should have open minds with experimental music, not everything needs to be a commercial pop song
Well just heard the album and she never misses on her vocals, the songs are amazing as each goes deeply lyrically and nicely produced, yet when I look back at her past album the growth isn't really showing and her sound identity was barely in the album. The songs aren't bad but they aren't unique or special and can be easily mistaken to be from another artist like 'for the night' with Billie Eilish. Madison has so much potential and I hope she keeps evolving. The ... read more
Going now to her 12th studio album and still having passion is amazing, this album isn't my personal favorite. It's one of those albums that you go just to listen to the hits and not the album as a whole, and the album tracks show exactly why. Many of the tracks felt disappointing mostly because taylor set this expectation of being a 1989 and folklore love child and it ends up actually being a repuation and lover outtakes.
The song "Actually romantic" is my least favorite ... read more
This album is pure perfections from top to bottom. The way its all cohesive yet so distinguishable from eachother tells you the impressive artistry of the group. This album lyrics goes all well together and explains perfectly the stages of a breakup. Also the instrumentals are amazing, with them aligning using echos to match the underwater theme is amazing. I would say is the best dream pop album released this century.
Its a good album with many potential hits, although it feels very rushed but still implements a constant idea which fits well together. Still it doesn't have a unique special feeling that ive had with other albums
Nice song, rlly honors the 80s pop sound and vocals with a nice touch of rap.
Wow this album is pure perfections from top to bottom, being rlly cohesive while at the same time you can distinguish each song from another. Laufey shows her artística growth yet again and no doubt this is one of the best albums released this year
Wow addison really evolved and truly showed it in her debut album. It has such an interesting story and the tracklisting of it made it perfect, she keep a clear narrative after her dealing with fame and how she transforms and transitioned into her actual self. Starting with new york, which can be interpreted as her start of her transformation, then we go into the rest of the songs and how she deals with fame, love, family, hate, and etc. With the final 2 songs (Time Like These & Headphones ... read more
Another masterpiece by her. The instrumental construction of the mixtape is 10/10 with vocals melodies adding a perfect touch to it. Although the beginning of the album is started to sense a repetitive sound, but around stars/intermission I saw more cohesive diverse sound. Her theme of early 2000's brit pop is clearly noticeable with her own twist like paying a homage to it, and her lyrics solidify this statement with a interested story of a british girl and a the roller-coaster with an ... read more
The concept and engineering of the album is really good. Benny Blanco did a masterpiece, but what ruins it is selenas voice, it sounds like autotune and really unstable making most of the songs hard to listen to. The features in the album are insane, loved the charli background vocals in one of the songs and the marias features is the peak of the album.
Truly a masterpiece, the complex lyricisms, instrumentals, and vocals truly shape Jennie's artistry. Her collabs also add more personality and uniqueness to other albums released this year. Very proud and happy jennie released this work of art and truly see it as a contender for award appraisal
Finally getting to hear Lisa's stand alone album had mixed emotions for me. The singles rollout really saved this album with all of her pre album singles being pop perfections but now hearing the album tracks it lacks personality and lyricism. Songs like thunder really takes my attention from hearing the album. Still all the songs have a nice beat and lisa rapping style fits but with the lack of making it hers most of these songs get shadowed by her previous singles. Also her marketing the ... read more
Bad Bunny really surprised me with this masterpiece of album, I never saw this side of him and every song having deep rooted meanings and feelings for his homecountry is nice to see. I loved the wide variety of genres and vocal techniques. Overall it's a nice album and a new breakthrough for Spanish music yet again.
So Close To What is her third studio album and our first look into her established career album process. 1. Sound - an amazing instrumental bringing tribute to 90s and 00s pop sounds yet having such unique sound when her voice is integrated with the background.
2. Lyrics - even with many people saying otherwise the lyricism of this album is pretty good, one example is the peak lyrics on purple lace bra (the only time you think i got depth??) truly gagged me. And there's many other songs ... read more
It's short and it's perfect as it it the perfection in the music and transitions and her voice all combined is beautiful
It's a pop perfection with so many bops it's one of duas best works and hope she continues to elevate her creativity
