Brilliant. Listening to this makes me feel cosy and warm; never experienced something similar with anything else. Entertaining and beautiful from beginning to end!
This album sounds like a bunch of independent ideas from "How to make your song hit top-charts" (simple melody, simple text, strong chorus...) glued together.

Best songs: Gold, Polaroid, Friction, Warriors
Worst songs: Monster, Who We Are

Great introduction to Glass and minimalist(-ish) music in general.
I'm really, really trying to understand this album. I keep reading it's "deep", "smart", "beautiful"... One of the legendary works in the genre. I understand the album is unique, but I'd rate it "interesting" at best. I'm not a native speaker, so I don't catch half the lyrics, and there isn't much more to the album - some random lo-fi noises, a few strokes on guitar, stagnant and quite repetitive vocals.
I know there is something hidden, it must be. But ... read more
