Tyler, The Creator - Goblin
60

People act like this album has ZERO good songs. Tell me She isn’t good. Tell me some of those instrumentals weren’t good. But I can understand why they do hate it. I mean I also hate Edgy Tyler and him making offensive songs just for the heck of it. I would say this album is a 5 or 6 or something like that

JID - The Forever Story (Extended)
90

This album was amazing. From the production, to the lyrics to the everything, it was amazing. The storytelling on this album was insane, especially on that last track “2007”. JID’s rapping on this went HARD and it really fits well with the fast paced beats. The features on this were amazing as well. JID brought some incredible singers for this album and it really makes these tracks sound more beautiful than before. Adding one more thing, the storytelling on “2007” ... read more

James Blake - Playing Robots into Heaven

I didn’t even know who James Blake was until I heard all his features, and I glad I heard them. This album was AMAZING. James Blake’s vocals take you into a whole different world in this album. The effects on his voices make his singing sound WAY more beautiful. Like on “Loading”, his pitched up vocals sound so beautiful, his natural voice is also pretty good too. The production is also beautiful, the synthesizers they chose on these songs are amazing. Especially on ... read more

Yeat - 2093 (P2)
75

I’m glad Yeat is changing his sound for the first time and experimenting with new music. It does kinda sound like his old stuff but with more synths and different drum kits and stuff like that. I can’t lie some of these songs didn’t really catch my attention and just sounded like the same stuff but some of them did. I would prob rate this album 7.5/10

Concrete Boys - It's Us Vol. 1
75

This album is filled with songs with amazing samples and just great production in general. It’s just pretty chill and a good listen. I would rate this like a 7.5/10

Pompous Tinkers - Wight Mousse

hen I was reached out to by this band, I was like” wow, even thought I only have like 6 followers, people do like my reviews!”. But then I checked it out on Musicboard and found out the band messages that to everyone. I was hurt, but I still wanted to listen to the album just because it was a rock album and I want to listen to more music that isnt rap. So now we’re here and the album was actually pretty good.

The production was pretty good and I really think the band did good ... read more

4batz - u made me a st4r

Ngl I’m starting to think he is an industry plant because how did he get signed to Drake and then get a feature from Kanye in a couple of months. Anyway most of the songs were pretty nice, act viii gave me a 2000’s vibe to it just cause of its production and from the singing. So yeah the album was pretty good and I would rate it a 8.5/10

Kid Cudi - KiD CuDi presents SATELLITE FLIGHT: The journey to Mother Moon
75

Since this was a Kid Cudi album, I was expecting something pretty mid but this actually wasn’t that bad. The production was pretty good. Most of the songs have this spacey atmospheric type vibe and I think it sounds pretty good. Also I love the guitar on the second track “Going To The Ceremony” and on “Troubled Boy”. Kid Cudi also sounded Ight during the album, I mean it’s just the same vocals he has on every album he’s ever made. Anyways I would prob ... read more

BROCKHAMPTON - TM

Bro “The Family” was way better than this. Honestly I wish Brockhampton let that be there last album. The only reason I say that is because on “The Family” they acknowledged that the group was ending and Kevin actually said some of the reasons why. On this album I didn’t even think they said that they were ending. Just seems kinda dumb that on there last album they don’t even talk about the band ending. Also I thought some of there songs were kinda weak ... read more

James Blake - Bad Cameo
90

I never thought that James Blake and Lil Yachty would make an album together. Even though James Blake has kinda been in the rap scene by talking to Kanye, I still never thought he would collab with a rap artist. Maybe Yachty is the one who reached out to James to make this album cause he wants to experiment with different genres. Cause he already dropped a psychedelic album, and now an alternative album.

Anyways this album is pretty good. It’s interesting hearing Yachty rap on these ... read more

Various Artists - Barbie The Album
65

I’m not gonna go to in depth with this album but it was kinda bland. Most of it just sounded like music that would play during the credits of a movie, and I assume it probably is. Some songs were pretty good tho. I would rate this album a 6.5

Ice Spice - Y2K!
30

I saw people talking about all the poop lyrics Ice Spice has been saying and yeah it’s pretty weird. First she got a whole song talked “Think U The Shit (Fart)” and next has a lyrics talking about “being his poopie but never smelling”. Whoever is writing her songs needs to be fired for all these weird lyrics. Anyways all of the songs were pretty bad. Call me a TikTok person but the best song is def “Did It First”. The rest of the songs besides that one ... read more

Drake - For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition
80

Some of these lyrics are wild. Drake fr said that his brother wife was tryna get with him. Anyways tho this EP was Ight. Some songs didn’t really sound amazing to me, others did. That’s just how I expect to be whenever I’m listening to a Drake project. Anyways this Ep was a 8/10

Thundercat - Drunk
90

Thundercat is a incredibly gifted musician. The way this man is playing the bass just adds so much character to these songs. Same thing with the different types of synths being played on these tracks. The way the synths were being played on “Friend Zone” were interesting but in a good way. Thundercat’s vocals were also interesting but in a good way. His deep vocals were very consistent throughout the album. I feel like his vocals also added a lot of character to the songs. ... read more

Kanye West - Donda (Deluxe)

REALLY KANYE, 32 TRACKS. 2 HOURS LONG. WHY. WHY ARE THERE LONG SONGS AS WELL? I MEAN REALLY. A 11 MINUTE LONG IS INSANE KANYE. Anyway, the album was decent. The first 13 songs had me ascending, and then all the songs after God Breathed had me bored and uninterested. Especially Jesus Lord 2, an 11 minute song and it’s basically boring the entire song. There wasn’t even a beat change, same beat the entire song. But the songs after that were pretty good, then I got to Jesus Lord and ... read more

Juice WRLD - Legends Never Die
65

I did not like this project that much. One reason is cause of the repetition. I feel the all the beats sound the same, all the lyrics are just about doing drugs to feel better and death, and the rapping is just the same thing and has the same flow. I just feel like it’s not really versatile, and maybe that’s cause it’s a posthumous. Maybe if Juice Wrld was still alive (rip), he would’ve had way different beats and probably would change his sound for the album.

I ... read more

Vince Staples - Dark Times

A deep album that just feels like it has a message. I think the message/ meaning of this album has something to do with religion because Vince keeps bringing it up in songs, an example being “Shame On The Devil” (I mean the title of this song def shows that this song has something to do with religion). Vince kept talking about The Lord and Heaven and was even praying on the outro. He also just has lots of lyrics on this album that could just be connected to religion. Anyway like ... read more

Chance the Rapper - Acid Rap
80

Decent mixtape. The production was pretty good but on a few songs, I didn’t really find myself interested in the beat. Otherwise, the production was unique and cool. The rapping was pretty good as well. I feel like Chance gave us the same flows on these songs but when he wasn’t, the flow was actually pretty unique. I would prob rate this mixtape a 8/10.

21 Savage & Metro Boomin - SAVAGE MODE II
80

This album was pretty good. Metro produced these beats amazingly and 21 Savage did a good job rapping over these amazingly produced beats. Morgan Freedom was a great narrator and I found myself really listening to what he was saying, just cause it sounded so poetic. The features also did pretty good. Drake’s verse on “Mr. Right Now” was pretty good, especially for the bar where he kinda dissed SZA ( I think him and SZA shoukd just end the beef). Young Thug’s Verse on ... read more
