not really my thang. the production is definitely commendable, but i just can't ever get behind the vocals, despite being a fan of aztrids work for a long while.
his ego is fucking craaazy "young black brian wilson" lmaooo
much better than black caeser, xeon3 is really promising and i hope he continues his work. yes his work is very obviously inspired by peggy and the like, but i dont really care, this shits good.
relisten. i appreciate this album a lot more than when i first listened to it. ive gotten way more into this kinda sound so i really, really dig it
was relistening to this w/ my friend on the spotify jam thing and after a few tracks, "we are charlie kirk" started playing outta nowhere. he swears he didn't put it in the queue. charlies soul haunts us all.
relisten.
i listened to this last around a year ago, and since then ive gotten way more into death grips and electronic music in general, so i like this a lot more than i used to. used to be one of my least faves of their main discography, now it's in the middle ish
relisten.
whilst i don't care for most tracks on this (hahaha is one of their best tho), they work really really well when put together as an album. easily one of their best for that flow alone, even if, again, most tracks aren't all that special or great at all. im guessing that was the intention and it paid off. when i listened to this for the first time it was my fav of theirs, and its still somewhere up there.
the first few tracks sent my ass to heaven the first time i listened to this. literally ascended im not joking. banger after banger. the perfect start to an album.
the songs are enchanting as fuck. i feel like a sailor being drawn out to the ocean by a siren. its like if magic were an album.
how is it even possible to sound like that. how is it possible that jeff buckley, a man from california, sounds like an angel singing to me through my speakers
was kinda dissapointed :( i expected so much more but it kinda lacked, still really good though
