Not bad. I think I vastly prefer wallsocket to this project in terms of pretty much everything, but there are some really cool ideas and great songs sprinkled in here. Not every song works for me, and some tracks can be a bit grating, but overall a solid album.
Very decent hyperpop that doesn't try to do anything super new but bangs while it's on. Some great production throughout and energized and quirky performances which sound good.
Some interesting ideas scattered about here and there but mostly fades into background noise for me. A lot of the instrumentation is pretty decent, but doesn't really do anything for me. Decent
beautiful and heartfelt abstract rap that does start to feel like it drags on a little towards the end of this album for me personally, but other than that is consistent and has great production. Phenomenal writing as usual from Navy Blue and the sole feature, Earl Sweatshirt does a great job on the song he's on.
The album builds off all the potential Detahjae set up in his previous project to create a fully fledged and much more polished vision. A lot of the problems I had with Detahjae's debut were mostly surrounding his bizarre and frequently poor sound selection and his somewhat subpar rapping at times, but on this project, he manages to completely fix all the issues i've had with his work in the past. it sounds refined, grand and extremely well produced, with some great features ... read more
Some very dreamy and beautiful pop music with some great ethereal moments. Did lose me at least once or twice but made up for it by having such great consistency and production.
Armand Hammer and The Alchemist come through swinging with some fantastic instrumentals and amazing rapping as usual. The performances from both members of the duo are phenomenal throughout with some very poignant lyrics and passionate rapping. The features also do great with some surprisingly beautiful moments along the way. Overall really good! definitely warrants checking out.
Rap fans think its too hyperpop centric, hyperpop fans think theres too much rap. Overall, Stardust is an album that is bound to dissapoint a lot of people. But you know what? I sure wasn't dissapointed.
Danny sounds hungry and energized on this project, which takes a similar structure to Blush from Kevin Abstract earlier in the year, with Danny allowing for the features to essentially take the reigns for most of this project, and in my opinion, it works great here. Aside from Green Light ... read more
Don't like it quite as much as TEST but it feels like a much more refined and unique version of the stuff he tried to do on Lone, Borealis, especially with the chopped up breaks in the second half. Overall a pretty decent rap banger with some great production and nice energy from all involved
Not a single miss on this project ngl. Every song is incredibly produced, sung, written. Really interesting album overall, with some really strange ideas throughout.
forgot to rate this one when it came out but man this goes really hard bro. Killer beat with some really grimy and angry delivery with great lyrics.
really liking the sound of these new singles man if theres an album im gonna be so happy. the production is really good and the lyrics are just as political as the last single which I really appreciate.
so unbelievably hard with both moments of real hype energy and beautiful self reflection. The production is phenomenal and really only has one miss (MOUNT PLEASANT.). I really have been waiting for him to drop a project like this since I heard Keep in Touch, and this is overall really great.
i love these kind of short vignette type projects and honestly I don't really mind the length being so short if most of the songs are good, and luckily most of the songs here are. Sometimes he tries something that doesnt work quite as well (LOOKING FOR PARKING) but the rest of the time this is a great short little hip-hop project. He probably shoulda called it an EP tho
