Joey Bada$$ - ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$
85

A great project from Mr Bada$$ with some amazing lyrics but occasionally lackluster production. When the beats are good, they are really good, but sometimes they come off a bit too sanitized for my tastes. Got some genuinely incredible songs tho, especially that closing track which I found to be really poignant.

ISSBROKIE - MWAH!
75

Decent, has a feel to it that does something for me but overall feels a little samey. Great production and brokie gives some decent performances throughout.

UNBEATABLE - ALBUM.
100

A 100 not just because the game is phenomenal, (it is) but also the music is genuinely just that good. Phenomenal production which is distorted, punky and chock full of synthesizers, great vocal performances and a generally amazing vibe. Sleeping In might be my SOTY it's so good. If you have 25 dollars to spare, please PLAY UNBEATABLE it's genuinely amazing.

KILL KARL - SUCK ON MY ALBUM
30

Genuinely found this funny cuz its just the most absurd shit. Its lowkey literally a jt music album but instead of rapping and singing about video games he just talks about random ass bullshit the entire time. The musical theater-esque moments on this thing have some genuinely decent production added with the fact that he can lowkey actually sing if he wants to make this thing an enjoyable listen. definitely never coming back to this project tho.

Lil Uzi Vert - Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World
85

Goes so damn hard. Some real trap bangers on here, some of uzis best songs. Generally well produced with some nice energy throughout.

Cynthoni - LAMENTING MALICE
79

First cynthoni project I've really been sold on. All her previous eps have been decent but not super interesting or new. This project does a lot of different things and some of them work great, some don't work so well. Overall I think the good outweighs the bad to produce a damn decent album.

The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land
80

Pretty good overall with some very well done drum work and synths. The vocals are harsh and ominous and frankly these songs just go hard as fuck. As an album it does feel a little long, but it's not bloated or anything it's just time consuming. Very nice.

LAUSSE THE CAT - The Mocking Stars
96

It's been a damn good year for jazz rap. A very comforting and gentle album with some hard hitting lyrics and a cute concept. Very warm and soothing, his voice is really smooth. Amazing production as well.

abe - Abemas
85

very nice rage album. Shines in the more insane and abrasive moments but is well done throughout. There were a few moments where the vocal delivery didn't work quite as well for me but it was made up for by the better tracks. Love the little transitional moments between tracks too, really helps everything feel a lot more cohesive.

Xavier Saturn - The.Core
80

very pretty soundscapes. overall decent, very well produced track.

Afterlife Slave - the fog, the dark
90

Some pretty slick drum and bass with some nice synthwork. Overall pretty solid.

CABALLERO KNIGHT - sono tutto quello che tu odi
89

flow and delivery is on point and the production is fire, really love how dirty and loud the drums are.

Lil Uzi Vert - Chanel Boy
96

oh my gooodddd this beat is so good and uzi's delivery on this track is so addictive it actually goes so hard. Such a banger

Aesop Rock - I Heard It's a Mess There Too
80

Not quite as focused or in depth as his album from earlier this year but still has some bangers on it with some very concise and minimalistic production and super lyrical rapping aesop is known for. Overall pretty solid.

shteppi - envious.
90

like the switchup, sounds a lot more abrasive and poppy than a lot of the new shteppi stuff.

redveil - sankofa
100

Everything I could have wanted from this album and more. Beautiful, layered production which feels like a logical continuation of learn 2 swim's sound while also being unique in its own right. The singing on this album is great, the writing is great, it feels like drinking hot cocoa at a fireplace in a snowstorm. It's so cozy and warm and perfect for the winter season. Genuinely amazing album, may very well be his best.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die
85

Overall pretty decent with an amazing back half that really carries in my opinion. Some great classic rap songs on here with some good production and great rapping and writing.

lumivia - HEARTSTOPPER γ€Œ1」
65

not super interesting but it helped me finish my math hw so ig thats something. the production is decent, but these songs really just fade in the background for me. not bad but not great.

Mobb Deep - The Infamous
100

Classic for a reason. Top level production, rapping, features, everything. A masterclass of hip hop.

billy woods & Kenny Segal - Hiding Places
93

Intensely despondent and dark production throughout with some great variety, and woods has (as usual) phenomenal writing and delivery all the way through. A few songs that felt a little less intense but the highs make up for it by being by far some of the most impacted abstract hiphop I've ever heard.

"Respect the opinion but I feel like it's a little weird to say whenever ghais does trap it doesn't work out considering his entire career has had major trap influence. Also I'm ngl I don't think I would call any of what hes rapped on before "jazz production" but that's definitely more up for debate."
