Intro08 - LIVE! From The Bedroom
80

Some very unique ideas here. There is some glitchyness to a lot of these songs that is very satisfying in a rythmic way, its very cool. A few ideas that are less interesting than others, but overall a pretty enjoyable time.

Not Marshall - Glimpsedragon
87

Definitely some of my favorite material i've heard from marshall so far. Some of the usual ideas like the ethereal aspects and somewhat ambient nature of many of the songs with a new incorperation of drum breaks which help to make this a much more attention grabbing experience. The songs as well feel a lot brighter and tend to have more interesting elements. Enjoyable listen.

Mihal Lunar - Driving Through Clouds
70

Very cool ideas and nice production but the mix honestly feels a little too clean for me personally when it comes to music in this sort of vein. Definitely has some great concepts but needs something more to boost it a little for me personally. Still a decent listen.

Xiu Xiu - Girl with Basket of Fruit
85

Very bizarre and experimental but overall a really interesting project. Its so dark and while I wasn't outright disturbed all that much over the course of the album there were moments that are genuinely harrowing. Not for everyone but definitely a unique listen and a project worth listening to if you're into that kind of spoken word industrial ambient-ish music

The Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
90

long but never feels bloated. Some phenomenal tracks on here as well as a few i thought were just good. Great production and singing throughout.

IDK - e.t.d.s. A Mixtape by .idk.
90

Some of the best material I've heard from idk. Some great production with some pretty good verses from idk. The features all do great too.

CLAWI. - haunted whore house
70

definitely sounds like I'd imagine its title would sound. Pretty interesting ideas being used here, with a somewhat rough mix. The drums are high energy and a little quiet, feels like it could use a little more punch. The piano is weird but does work, and when the track does come together and everything works, it really does work. pretty decent.

--astral-- - Loner
67

Its alright but feels very amatuerish and a little overly long. The instrumentation is decent, if occasionally repetetive but the vibe is generally nice and feels very spacey. Not bad, just not amazing.

Adam Snebold - Twenty
70

Some pretty decent instrumental hiphop. didn't blow me away or anything but it was a pretty nice listen.

Bittersweet - To Die, To Heaven, Farewell
75

Its pretty good overall but there are a few moments I feel are a little less interesting than others. The sections where the tracks suddenly distort are pretty immersion breaking and mostly serve to hurt my ears, but overall its got a good mix of interesting ideas.

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
92

[edit] grew on me a lot just as i hoped
I relistened to this project after I heard it when it dropped and honestly its weird. I like a lot of parts of this album, the singles are great and the tracks from robbery to fish N steak are great, but theres kind of a feeling that most of these tracks don't really do all that much? like instrumentally they are all pretty top knotch but lyrically its inconsistent and oftentimes just okay. Its a pretty good project, but 8 years worth? i dunno.

J. Cole - The Fall-Off is Inevitable
95

you know what j cole maybe you do still have it

Domo Genesis - Genesis
90

Domo Genesis doesn't get enough credit. Despite being a key member of Odd Future as they came up, it seems Domo has mostly been resigned to the underground as of late, which I feel is a massive shame given that this album is really really good. The production is top knotch, all of domo's verses are phenomenal and the vibe is immaculate. There is a certain feeling expressed by this album that helps it stand out, it feels so calming and distinct.

beatrixwashere - intruder
78

the vocals are a little hit or miss for me but the production is consistently interesting and well done. The mixing as well is a little rough but it doesn't affect the experience too much. Overall pretty decent, but massive room for improvement.

Cibe - A Bunch of Drones
75

this is the kind of ambient i can get behind. Its not anything crazy, but it has such a nice vibe and feel and its production is as minimal as it gets (basically just one synth over 4 tracks) but its used in such a way where it never feels too ungratifying to me.

A$AP Rocky - HELICOPTER
90

so damn hard and such a different vibe from punk rocky man im so excited for this album, friday can't come soon enough!

dälek - From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots
95

god damnnn this album is crazy. The production here is so good; brutal and dark in nature but not afraid to be beautiful when it needs to. The rapping is phenomenal, and for every one or two moments on here where I thought what they were doing was a little too noisy or too dissonant to work for me, there was a moment of pure genius that just worked so damn well. amazing album.

Anderson .Paak - Venice
80

quite good despite some pretty dated songs on occasion but I really think it would benefit from more songs like Milk N' Honey, that song is crazy. Production is great (for the most part) and the performances are pretty good throughout.

Michael Lamarche - Kintsugi
68

Some pretty good production but the vocals definitely need work. A lot of potential here, and I love some of the transitional moments, but its lacking a layer of polish that could really bring things to the next level. not bad, just okay.

Aldebrand the Reverberant - Høuse øf Hørøløgue
75

Some pretty decently interesting ambient music. A few shit-myself-loud moments that I do mess with but also there are some moments on here that are just so grating and make my teeth hurt and my scalp itchy so I give this a solid 7.5 out of 10. Overall really solid, and some great technique but also man some parts of tracks are really hard to get through for me

"Respect the opinion but I feel like it's a little weird to say whenever ghais does trap it doesn't work out considering his entire career has had major trap influence. Also I'm ngl I don't think I would call any of what hes rapped on before "jazz production" but that's definitely more up for debate."
