Injury Reserve - Floss
96

Only reason this isn't an 100 is bc of eeny meeny miny moe aside from that track this thing would be perfect for me.

Injury Reserve - Injury Reserve

i can't believe i never rated this but yeah pretty much a perfect album. falters a bit on the slower songs towards the end but even then there is so much depth in those tracks that makes them worth returning to. Amazing project.

A$AP Rocky - LONG.LIVE.A$AP

love love love the beats on here, love love love the energy and rapping and while some songs are definitely better than others, man nearly every track is such a banger front to back just hit after hit after hit.

Zugz - Emirates

the vocals on the chorus are beautiful, the beat is amazing. The rapping frankly sucks ngl. Its so close to being good, its high energy but inevitably proves that just having energy is not enough to carry the track. He sounds borderline offbeat, and does not fit the vibe of the song at all. It sucks too bc it really does sound just on the verge of being something really special, but misses the mark by a slim margin. Just needed maybe a rewrite or a retake or just a lot more thought and polish ... read more

I <3 DRUM AND BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!!!!!!!!

Shantel - Selfish

god DAMN those vocals are absolutely heavenly. The production is pretty decent, mostly pretty standard bedroom pop type stuff with some additional great instrumentation from (what sounds like a saxophone?). The vocals are great, and overall its just such a vibe.

Vince Staples - Hell Can Wait
90

Banger after banger. Only miss imo is Screen Door, but other than that every song is hard as fuck. Also why is feelin' the love's user score so low? Shame on all of you.

Gorillaz - Demon Days
95

Probably my favorite gorillaz record from the admittedly limited exposure i've had to the band. So many interesting and well executed ideas.

MF DOOM - MM..FOOD
96

So many phenomenal and lowkey all time DOOM tracks on here, with great production all over this thing. A great listen throughout, just so tightly packed with great songs.

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak
85

this album is weird cuz my opinion on it changes pretty much every time i listen but for right now this is definitely some of kanyes best emotional songs along with a few duds which just don't work quite as well. Street Lights is beautiful, heartbreaking but hopeful, Paranoid is a banger, on Heartless you can hear him vocally just so intensely, the autotune also is so interesting as an artistic choice, it really hammers home the emotional isolation and almost robotic nature of how kanye ... read more

Riphyaku - rated N for nobody

very standard dariacore thats not groundbreaking but good enough. Pretty enjoyable to listen to while its on.

Mac Miller - Watching Movies with the Sound Off
89

a mostly pretty good but ocassionally lacking project with some amazing production and decent to great verses from mac and co.

Vince Staples - FM!
90

vince staples one of the greatest to ever do it stg

Denzel Curry - ZUU
95

a nearly perfect album of bangers, just some of the hardest shit imaginable. Great production, great energy, and great features all around. Just an amazingly fun time overall.

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
85

[edit] grew on me a lot but i still think the second half is a little worse than the first.
It's pretty good - not great. The production is generally pretty decent but often not nearly as interesting as some hes had in the past. The hype songs are good, the (for lack of a better term) conscious rap songs are generally alright, with a few exceptions that are great. Overall I can't lie I'm pretty disappointed, but ill give it another listen or 2. Seems like a downgrade from his ... read more

aeter - SKIN TURNS RED

Some pretty phenomenal production for an overall pretty innovative and versatile album. Not everthing it tries works too well (a lot of the more rock inspired moments left me a little dissapointed) but overall quite an interesting listen. Also love some of the strange nurture-esque pitch shifting on some of the vocals too, very cool sounding.

hemlocke springs - the apple tree under the sea
89

Charismatic and vibrant, with some very quirky (in a good way) production choices and vocal inflections. Very fun project, even though some songs shine brighter than others.

Brent Faiyaz - Icon
90

very decent, some nice throwback-ish R&B production with some pretty angelic vocals from Brent. doesn't do all that much thats new but is a very fun time while on.

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
87

Pretty cool soundtrack that has some very nice experimentation (for charli, not all that experimental in a vacuum) and production. Not much else to say, does start to lose me a bit towards the end but overall a pretty solid album.

femtanyl - MAN BITES DOG
89

great production and vocals and while not the most original thing in the world, manages to be a fun time regardless. Pretty solid evolution of the band's style.

"Respect the opinion but I feel like it's a little weird to say whenever ghais does trap it doesn't work out considering his entire career has had major trap influence. Also I'm ngl I don't think I would call any of what hes rapped on before "jazz production" but that's definitely more up for debate."
