another cool techno track but doesn't do that much for me outside of its vibe. still cool and still pretty enjoyable but not much other than that.
some pretty cool rave-esque music. reminds me a lot of cyberpunk. cool, not much else to say about it but it was pretty fun to listen to.
I do really enjoy this track in particular. its very calming and nostalgic, and progresses very nicely. surprisingly enough I don't know if anyone will know what i'm talking about but the guitar kind of reminds me of the very surprisingly good hello neighbour soundtrack.
I loved the singles leading up to this and while the full album is a little more subdued in its approach, I still really appreciate the sound of this project and the general theming is very relateable. Very enjoyable listen which im sure will only get better on further listens.
[edit] grew off me a bit but i kind of hope ADL is a lot better than this song and has more depth to it
Holy shit this song is so sick the beat is so weird and yeat has such a cool energy on it this is exactly the type of strange kind of experimental energy i want from ADL this is so cool i can't lie.
Pretty good production with sparse but pretty high quality vocals for the most part. Not bad at all, just pretty enjoyable.
Meditative, deliberate, and thoroughly sobering. Acts as a reflection of the times we live in, its so somber and subdued but James feels like he is putting his all in to all the songs on here. Phenomenal production, singing and lyrics.
Feels like summertime, just such warm and lovely songs. While the subject matter and lyricism I think is a step down from his last, the beats and delivery are actually pretty great and the songs themselves are very pleasant to listen to. Feels like a very lazy hot day just riding around in a car.
its really interesting seeing her do her normal vocal delivery on these much more accessible beats and even though it doesn't work 100% of the time it still ends up being a decently cool listen. Some times she definitely comes off as not fitting on a song at all but I think just the sheer experimentation of this album is enough to make that justified.
Fuck yes man i've always said that MIKE's trap stuff has always been some of my favorite work from him so getting a full (hopefully?) trap album from him and earl is a dream come true. This song is excelent, such a simple but satisfying beat and MIKE does great rapping wise.
I LOVE EARL ON TRAP BEATS FUCK YESS THIS ALBUM IS GONNA BE SOOOOOOOOO GOOODDDD!!!!! :DDDD
1 Rock Or Rock Adjacent Album Per Day For March: #6 The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
great, solid music but the highlights like the closer definitely outshine the rest of the project, even if the rest is also really great.
1 Rock Or Rock Adjacent Album Per Day For March: #5 MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS
beautiful and fun fast paced production with great singing. Such a good vibe i love it so much
1 Rock Or Rock Adjacent Album Per Day For March: #4 I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass
with a title like that i kind of expected a little more agression, but im not dissapointed. The production is very layered and often grand, integrating strings and brass along with piano to create a really nice vibe. The vocals are good but sometimes get buried in the mix and are hard to understand. Overall quite good, and very varied and versatile.
impeccable beat and the writing isn't horrible but definitely could have used maybe another take or 2? there needs to be a little bit more vocal presence on the track to help any of this really stand out, more energy and better flowing would definitely make this an amazing song.
great production but not quite sold on the singing rn ngl. I like a lot of the ideas but a lot of the vocal moments just sound either a bit off or awkward to me and don't work very well imo. not bad tho.
1 Rock Or Rock Adjacent Album Per Day For March: #2 We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes
midwest emo my beloved..... great production, decent singing, and a shoutout to LOWELL, MA!!!!????? joy!!!
A pretty nice electronic record all things considered. Very reminiscent of OPN's last album, with some pretty neat ideas and an overall interesting vibe. Pretty good!
