The beat is insane and I almost wish that the vocals (especially in the first verse) were maybe even a bit quieter as I think they overpower the instrumental too much. This track definitely works really well otherwise, the beat switch a little less than halfway through is great, and the rapping is great and energetic.
its been said a million times but its truly impressive that this was an album of throwaways. They sound great, and the same great lyricism and beat choices that Kendrick has always been known for are present throughout, with the caveat that the instrumentals on this album are a lot more free flowing than some of his other music, in a way that really does work out to his favor. Great project.
Very grandiose and dramatic track with some beautiful string arrangements and instrumentation. Decent, does feel like it ends before a real climax though.
decent, beat is weird as hell but the rapping is solid. The autotuned more-singing ish parts are a little bizarre and do clash a bit with the instrumental, but otherwise a fun and well done track.
AS ALWAYS VINCE STAPLES IS FANTASTIC. SONG IS PHENOMENAL, GREAT PRODUCTION, GREAT LYRICS, GREAT FLOWS. AMAZING TRACK, SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT ALBUM I CAN HARDLY WAIT.
Wonderfully fun and simple rock music with some catchy melodies and vocal refrains. Not anything super extra special but a nice listen nonetheless.
Beats are great and I'd usually be up to bat for vylet but... vylet pony CANNOT rap. I was genuinely relieved any time I heard her singing because it meant I wouldn't have to hear her rap. The features wash her on every song. Even zombAe who I'm usually pretty hit or miss with has a great verse here. I even think the political commentary is mostly pretty good, but it's all delivered in the most obnoxious way possible that makes a good chunk of these songs unlistenable to me. ... read more
Consistent and well made rock with some high energy production and well done vocal delivery. Very cool
My god I love jazz rap. Just consistently good and summery and with great lyrics and production. Blu and Exile continue to just make extremely satisfying rap music.
Great beat and okay rapping but it feels like it ends before it starts. This guy's voice is really good tho, has a lot of potential if he works on his delivery a bit.
The production and vocals here combine to create some of both KNIGHT and Saturn's best songs yet. Of course it's a CABALLERO KNIGHT album, so you feel the length, but there are enough good ideas here to fight the bloat. Pretty good!
Bizarre as all hell but honestly I think it's mixed a bit too abrasively for this kind of song, it's not horrid but definitely strange. KNIGHT does decent here, and the beat is cool if a bit all over the place.
Scatterbrained and dark but not all that interesting. Not bad but not great either.
Some decent dream pop with some very washed out vocals and spacey production.
