jpegmafia’s debut mixtape is a very angry cloud rap album, two things that work surprisingly well together. This album lyrically is like a more intense version of veteran with jpegmafia throwing shade at just about anybody and everybody, this time coming very clearly from a point of dissatisfaction with things such as racism, gentrification and police brutality. A lot of the things he’s saying don’t necessarily feel like genuine things he believes (see Lee Daniel’s ... read more
Nice chill Devon hendryx beats to study and relax to. Really enjoyable throughout, really makes me at ease, great stuff. Also crazy to see how this guy went from this to who he is today. I prefer the other album cover tho. Also I noticed some daft punk influence.
Favorite Tracks: Power Stone, Bloody Roar, Phantasy Star
Least Favorite Tracks: Chuchu Rocket, Code: Veronica
I didn't listen to the album and I don't plan on it because the music doesn't really matter at this point. What really matters is kanye's mental and physical health. If this whole laughing gas situation is true this is genuinely awful.
Even if it isn't, kanye needs to stop surrounding himself with people who exploit him and take some time off music to focus on his health and seek help, genuinely.

This album is amazing. From the first song, it captures you in this strange, dreamy, distant and depressing atmosphere. Overall the album has a really eerie vibe to it and it feels like a very unique listen because of that. It feels as if this album is haunted, as if there is a ghost living in it and fucking with it. And that ghost is cities aviv. Cities aviv’s rapping on this album is buried deep in the mix, and it works to enhance the vibe ... read more
Pains me not to give this a ten, I massively enjoy every track, but the tracks just don't feel like they work with each other to create a cohesive tracklist. Maybe it might go to a 100 one day.
Edit: low 99 --> high 99
Ok. I see the cohesion in the tracklist. It's genius. But I still feels like there's something that I can't really put my finger on keeping it from a 100. Idk.

Heaven, because I assume it doesn’t smell like cigarette smoke.
This album is fucking amazing. It’s got that nice ethereal Shoegaze pilled sound and it makes you feel like you’re the hero of an 80’s cheesy action movie starring Arnold Schwartzenegger, who is driving down a street at sunset right before the credits roll. The bad guys are killed, you got the girl, probably learned some kinda lesson along the way, overall, life ... read more
Enough time has passed. This is my favorite song of all time. I have never in my life seen a song with both such musical quality as well as lyrical quality as this song, most songs sacrifice lyrical quality for musical quality or musical quality for lyrical quality yet this song somehow has so much of both. This song is utterly perfect. All three sections add to each other to create one cohesive experience so well it blows me away every time. There is nothing I would change about this song. ... read more

This album goes crazy, the samples hit hard, the beats hit hard, the verses hit hard, overall just a really enjoyable experience and kinda just feels like Outkast doing what they are good at for an hour or so. Wipes the floor with Stankmidia. Also I only recently realized the "ATL" in Atliens stands for Atlanta. I'm kinda dumb.

Throughout much of this, I can see the genius of this album. When it's at it's best, you are engulfed in the world of "The Archandroid" with it's funky rhythms and R&B grooves, the flowly nature of each track into the next, it's hard not to enjoy at it's highs, those being mostly in the run from Locked Inside to Mushrooms & Roses. Unfortunately, this album does suffer from a critical csae of falling off in the ... read more
Breathtaking yet harrowing, leaves me partially concerned for samlrc. I'm hoping she has better days ahead.

O-Rod seems to be experimenting with different sounds, this also sounds very transitional, I can only imagine O-Rods cooking up some heat with the next album π₯π₯π₯. The tracks here are pretty good, so American def the highlight though. It goes so hard.
Edit: 72 --> 52
Grew off me heavily, obsessed and so american are still bangers but the rest are kinda just eh, especially scared of my guitar and stranger, some of O-Rod's worst songs, and I can see why they ... read more

Grew on me, O-Rod cooks hard on this album, but it suffers from it's sequencing, having bulks of downtempo songs and bulks of uptempo songs instead of putting them together, which causes it to feel repetitive at times. I have a similar problem with OK Computer, but that's something for another day. The highs are amazing, the lows are pretty lackluster, but overall it's a great album and worth a listen.
