it has good songs, it also has bad songs. Kinda a mixed bag.

INSANELY GOOD first half, P*rnography - Nightcrawler is literally perfect, but the second half falls off so hard. the only songs i like from the second half are Impossible and Apple pie.

In classic travis scott fashion, this album has really high highs but most of it i'm pretty indifferent toward

Death Grips' most experimental album except for maybe government plates or year of the snitch, it can take a bit to get used to. The first five songs are amazing but the album suffers from a chronic case of falloffinthesecondhalfitis. None the less, it's a great album and finishes strong with big dipper.

I was playing the mirror temple c side in Celeste while listening to this album, I was having an hard time (mostly cause I was really tired) and I was stuck on the last room for like 60% of the album. I was on the last track and it was 1am so I thought I should call it quits and then right when the outro to the song started playing I did the winning attempt and watched the yellow heart appear on my screen as the beautiful piano keys came in in the background. It was a euphoric experience to say ... read more
Death grips best album bar none, a benchmark for industrial hip hop. There isn’t much lyrical content on this album as it’s clearly more focused on perfecting the sonic sound of the album, and it pays off. There are infinitely satisfying sounds, riffs and basslines on every single song and ride’s flow and delivery just pairs so well with it. This album truly has a little something for every death grips fan, whether it’s the pure chaos of giving bad people good ideas and ... read more
To preface this, I am not a Taylor swift fan. This is the first Taylor swift album I’ve listened to. I don’t usually enjoy Taylor swifts music very much. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this album. On folklore, Taylor Swift takes a stark departure from her usual pop / country sound in favor of more indie or folk sounding music, with hyper cinematic musical moments sprinkled throughout seen in tracks like exile and invisible string. In my opinion swift executes this ... read more

After doing some close inspection and relistens, I have decided this album does not quite stack up to my other tens.
OG review:
Rewriting my review after giving it a ten
This album is fucking genius. JPEGMAFIA is basically Albert Einstein. At first this album seems weird and nonsensical. It seems like it brings nothing of value besides Baby I’m Bleeding. But after you give it a couple of listens, you realize it is actually a ... read more
The college dropout is like a new hope and late registration is like empire strikes back. Late registration expands on the ideas presented in the college dropout with different production styles and different kinds of samples but it does loose a little bit of what made college dropout so good in the process. Overall, both albums are fire 🔥.

Madlib’s beats compliment DOOM’s flows so well, speaking of which, DOOM really snaps on this album in terms of rapping preformance. This album is great as a cohesive project, every song flows into the next really well.
