your pandering to the nostalgia of when you used to be interesting will not work on me, joji. boring deluxe somehow still bloated with songs that don't belong. piss in my cereal bro.
this shit was so goddamn boring man. did he forget how to do literally any other flow. he's just a flanderized cartoon character version of himself.
score could easily be raised with time but this is the record from Drake i was hoping 4 post beef. he's at top form here; some of his best performances on this record, consistent across the tracklist, some of his best and most textured production. his 2020s run is genuinely insane; just keeps getting better and better. aoty; truly blew my expectations out of the water. keeps getting better with every listen. drick in the mud. jermaine in the mud. Drizzy Drake victory; the vindication of ... read more
charli going weirder with it is nice, but there's not much variety in here to grip me. to be expected given its a soundtrack.
not a great farewell for Gambino but still a damn good time nonetheless.
i was once blind, but now i see. good album, thanks Drizzy. Ajhani's vindicated, Saul is vindicated, Marin is vindicated. Sticky might be the best song of all time.
really bad. jermaine has nothing to say, and he won't stop fucking rapping about nothing. 100 minutes and i feel nothing, man. this doesn't feel like a final album at all. wastes so much time on long songs that he does not have the songwriting ability to carry. he's washed up and has been for a minute now. stop fucking making weird bars about queer people, man. glad he's done. don't fuckin' come back
lots of fun. father is really great. ton of great songs on here.
i think i'm done with ever expecting anything from joji. there's a few standout tracks here but it's mostly just a dark trap flavored sludge. songs blend together, lack any defining characteristics, and most of them feel like unfinished demos or underdeveloped ideas. even then, had the songs felt compelling in any way melodically or instrumentally, i'd be more okay with it, but a vast amount of this tracklist is either just fine, or kinda bad. what a complete and utter ... read more
Goodnight Gotham is really sick, but the other two tracks here are mostly forgettable and nothing special.
really strong project for the most part; lots of fun experimentation here. the last four tracks being so boring really dragged this down for me from being great though. Same Ol’ Mistakes being a nearly seven minute track was a great highlight and a surprise to see; obviously the big hits were mostly great too. James Joint deserves more respect.
it's weirdo and lowkey but it doesn't capture me in the same way that phoenix did, for instance. too minimal maybe? i don't know. good stuff and there's tracks that really hold me. Can I Have You For Myself is soty so far
the beats are pretty cool but god he sucks on here. he's in the top 3 lamest rappers
mindblowing shit right here. next level atmosphere. spacey and grimy in the best ways.
