Dropped one of the best West Coast hip-hop albums, then proceeded to release an underwhelming follow-up and after that, it’s all shit. What? Why? How?
The standout tracks can’t save the fact that this is way too long. it overstays its welcome but it’s still an essential listen, especially for the production.
This is an 80 if I’m being generous, but realistically it’s a 60 or 70. The middle part was a bit of a snooze for me
Red Flag made me want to crash some cars again. Other than that, there are some inconsistencies here and there in the album, but it’s still a nostalgic listen!
SHUT YOUR FACE, SHUT YOUR, SHUT, SHUT, SHUT YOUR FACE UP
SHUT YOUR FACE, SHUT YOUR, SHUT, SHUT, SHUT YOUR FACE UP
It reminds me of mall refrigerators.....
Actually got the heebie-jeebies listening to this.. the amount of dread I felt is crazy.
Too preachy at times, and the vocalist gave me a little migraine at the end; but other than that, still good tho.
Too rich for my taste... BUT a very good 4 track run at the start but it fell off
The only thing I remember Illinois having going for it is the giant bean, or whatever it’s called. Other than that I love this!
I came back and gave this another listen, and this is one of the best comeback albums I’ve heard in the 2010s. Tribe4ever!!!♥️🖤💚
Whenever I inevitably die, transport me to a completely gray beach with this thing playing in the background whilst staring into the endless sea. Such lush use of instrumentations, with gorgeous vocals accompanying it! I was absolutely missing out by not listening to this early. GOD DAMN…
