Metro boomin shows that Trap is not dead. Further establishing his genre bending dominance and making great strides for trap as a genre. While there is some filler, in general, the insane production makes up for the lack of solid features.
Favorites: Umbrella, Niagara Falls, Walk Em Down, Metro Spider, Superhero, Too many nights, Lock On Me
Album would get a higher rating if it was less lackluster lyrically. However, the production consistently picks up where some of the artists fail to do their job.
Favorites: Borrowed Love, 10 Freaky Girls, Overdue, Don’t come out the house
Least Favorites: 10AM/Save The World, Only You
A mix of good and bad low energy tracks sandwiched by good production. Nothing special here overall.
Joey returns to memory lane reflecting on the past present and posthumous relationship with STEEZ. Delivering a powerful hook alongside heartfelt lyrics enough to make any sensible person shed a tear.
One of the better tracks of the week but the production doesn’t really fit the vocals.

Carti B manages to have the best verse on a song with Kanye. Damn Ye fell off.
Roddy Rich returns to the sound that brought him success in Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial showing a lack of development as an artist. However, not all hope is lost as the production, hooks, and flows make The Big 3 a pretty decent comeback to the disaster of an album that was LIVE LIFE FAST.
The simplicity of Joji’s voice and production perfectly compliment the lyrics. Providing a sense of loss and repentance Joji reflects on the way things are in order to cope with the way things were; he is stuck in a never ending cycle of wishing that the complexities of the past will fit into the simplicity of the present.
Pharrell’s production is always extremely annoying as previously established in Pusha T’s It’s Almost Dry. However, both 21 Savage and Tyler bodied their verses further establishing Savages trap dominance and Tyler’s extreme versatility.
It’s a step in the right direction that unfortunately was poorly executed.
