Jimmy Fallon - Holiday Seasoning

Coquito is one of the worst songs of all time.

Aaron Fraser-Nash - The Cursed Characters Album, Pt. 1
1

Aaron-Fraser Nash doesn't care about art. He cares about making money from children.

Logic - Ultra 85

Logic finally becomes the artist he was always meant to be.

Self-introspective, mature, honest and somewhat nerdy, this Jazz Rap/Boom Bap album is an incredible showing from the Maryland rapper. Incredible production, incredible flows, surprisingly honest and theurapetic lyricism in which he tackles everything that's on his mind (from the way he's looked at by music fans like me, to his trauma from being molested, to his love for art, to even his status as a biracial person), Logic ... read more

Brain - I'm Brain

Lil Dicky, or as I'm going to call him throughout this review, Dave Burd, seems to be endlessly conflicted as to what his direction in music seems to be. Is he nothing more than a jester, a simple novelty rapper, or is he something more: a professional rapper whose words and art are to be taken seriously? As of recent, he seems to have made up his mind and said: "I'm a neither. I'm a culture vulture who used the hip hop scene to get a television show made about me. ... read more

Mario Judah - Endure
35

"Where the fuck is Mario Judah?"

Well, here he is back again. This album follows up his debut "Whole Lotta Red", a slightly less than genuine attempt to cash in on Playboi Carti's hype, and also follows on a series of strange posts on social media about the end of the world. After the Carti bandwagon is done and over with, and following a series of controversies involving conspiracy theorist comments, possible abuse of his ex-partner and being fucked over by his label, ... read more

Forgiato Blow - Boycott Target

"pushing those gender pronouns and sexual genders"

Doug Walker - Nostalgia Critic’s The Wall

I have a confession to make: I've never listened to the album this thing is based on. I have arguably missed out on a masterpiece about the isolation inherent to fame and stardom, and hopefully I will someday correct this mistake on the stage this silly account has given me.

But even I could tell this was bad. The fact that Doug calls this thing a "love letter" while insulting not only the album, but the man who made it as pretentious and idiotic is deeply insulting. Pink ... read more

BROCKHAMPTON - The Family
75

This score is only because, to anyone who isn't already a fan of Brockhampton the band, this record's basically worthless. And also because this is basically a Kevin Abstract solo record in disguise. But this is an incredible album to me. An album where the leader of a friend group confesses to his failing to keep the group together, an album about business ultimately tearing friendship apart, an album about their relationship to the self imposed "Boyband" label, all over ... read more

Jack Harlow - Jackman.
70

That 70 is only because Gang Gang Gang is genuinely really good. The rest is just alright attempts at Conscious Hip-Hop from a pop rapper, but Jack Harlow did prove to me that he had some artistic integrity in some capacity in this record, and the intro track for it shows he's more aware of the hip hop world surrounding than earlier records seem to imply, and again Gang Gang Gang is just genuinely a really good song about a thing that's genuinely hard to go through. The flows here ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
100

Alright, let's do this. For real this time.

IGOR is an album that means a lot to me. I discovered it during a strange time in my teenage years, as I too was dealing with an unrequited crush, alongside other difficult drama that's now a bit bitter for me to think back on. So I will gladly admit, maybe I'm a little biased when talking about this album. But even so, I think you have to admit:

The production on this, the features, the rapping are all immaculate, with multiple ... read more

Ace of Hearts - Frozen in Time

Yeah he needs to work on his vocals, but I'm biased toward rock concept albums based on relationship troubles. This is a pretty decent example of that

Favorites: A Life Frozen In Time, Monophobia II, Find Me In Your Dreams

I once had a friend who was kind of like this and it was insufferable

Mr. Oizo - Lambs Anger
50

Inconsistent, messy, somewhat homophobic. I'll always have a soft spot for it in my heart.

Favorite Tracks: Cut Dick, Gay Dentists, Two Takes It, Bruce Willis Is Dead

65

Harmless and somewhat middling indie rock, but I like Baby Fratelli and Chelsea Dagger enough to give it a relatively high rating.

A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders

"When's the last time you heard a funky diabetic?"

Holy shit, I underestimated the chemistry between Q-Tip and Phife Dawg. They complement each other on the mic perfectly. Every song is legendary, the production is incredible, and there's so many quotable bars and stuff. I don't like to say "they don't make them like this no more", but they really don't make Jazz Rap like this no more. Loved this album.

Favorites: Sucka N***a, Electric Relaxation, ... read more

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)

The Sweater Song carries this album so hard it almost hurts. Holy shit, maybe I just don't like Weezer.

Fastball - The Way

Amazing stroke of genius from the deeply uninteresting alt rock band Fastball.
