clipping. - Dead Channel Sky

So many damn interludes

Otherwise solid ass album. Even in the hyperbloated genre of experimental hiphop, this sounds unique

A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory

"I'm a huge rap fan"
"ooh what do you think about TLET?"
"what's TLET?"

🗿🗿🗿

Seeing essential albums fall into online lists of "albums that expanded my music taste" pains me.
This was one of them.

LE SSERAFIM - HOT
48

Nothing special to it rlly. Just some below standard generic Kpop imo.
I don't understand people who like and listen to kpop exclusively. Kpop is def in the low tier of music genres.

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III
55

"Bitch I go harder than Carter 3" - Eminem

Yeah it's not that hard to go harder than this em. First few tracks are bangers and then it falls off hard

Huremic - Seeking Darkness
78

Parannoul is back and is giving a watered down mix of Swans and Godspeed

Joey Bada$$ - 1999
83

I first listened to this in elementary school while swinging on monkey bars.

There are a few misses on this album, but only countable on one hand. (lookin at you funky Ho'$)

He made this at the age of 17. The sheer rap hunger he must've had to put together somethin like this. at SEVENTEEN.
This is like a rendition of Nas making Illmatic at 20. Lowkey crazy.

And the producers on here too did their shit. MF DOOM, J Dilla, Freddie, etc. Damn vro. Joey had game like that.

C418 - Wanderstop
82

Very calming 3 hours

Lil Dicky - Earth

Spiritbox - Tsunami Sea
76

My robotics friend would love this. He loves metal, and this is a great metal album. This review super lazy. I know. But the album is good. It's okay. It's just some good alt metal. That's it. That's the review.

"@NonAnon I'm afraid ur interacting with either bots or paid actor account made today, a single review and it's a 100 on the new album. And to the paid actor: "it's so tight, I MEAN- our relationship" the line itself does imply/have sexual undertones."

On NonAnon's review of 高中正義 [Masayoshi Takanaka] - BRASILIAN SKIES
"@inertema Bossa nova emerged in Brazil in the late 1950s as a deliberate fusion of samba and jazz, often credited to artists like João Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Vinicius de Moraes. Bossa nova took syncopation and melodies of samba and recreated them with the harmonies of American jazz. The genre's 'iconic sound' is calm and gentle fingerstyle-guitar patterns, samba's rhythmic drive, smooth vocals, and chords drawn from jazz, such as 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths. To your credit, Samba is in fact a Brazilian genre that is independent of jazz origins or direct influence. But you have to read a bit more carefully before you comment. NonAnon is talking about Bossa Nova, and Bossa Nova is often best described as a samba/jazz fusion."

"@noxiiEM, one more https://www.loudandquiet.com/interview/car-seat-headrest-cover-story-will-toledos-12-album-overnight-success-story/ "The journey towards what became ‘Teens of Denial’ began in 2014, as a reaction to the response he received to his 2013 double album ‘Nervous Young Man’. “I think people just had a hard time listening to it because it was so long...Usually knowing what you want to do does take longer to come into shape because you have to reject more material...This rejected material eventually found a home on ‘How to Leave Town’.""
On Car Seat Headrest - How To Leave Town
"@noxiiEM https://uproxx.com/music/car-seat-headrest-bandcamp-albums/ "That’s one of the reasons why [Teens of Denial] took so long for me to write. It was about two years before it was done because I was generating a lot of material but I wanted a certain aesthetic for it and it took me a while before I had enough pieces that it could really feel coherent in that way. For me [How To Leave Town] reads like basically a B-sides/outtakes collection but sort of conceptually so, not just that literal thing. A lot of the times, to me, a collection of outtakes that a band puts out from a certain era will be more interesting as an album listening experience""
