Kpop. Pre-Seo Taiji n Boys, Korea music was boring. It was either renditions of american hits, or the boring ol' korean sounds like dumbed down singer-songwriter and folk.
Then comes in Seo Taiji n Boys. They came in and combined cliche American popular music sounds with the korean music sound to create a whole new genre of music, the "K-pop" we know today.
