Christopher Larkin - Hollow Knight: Silksong (Original Soundtrack)

Great work by Mr. Larkin.

I don't have anything other to say than it's js a bunch of beautiful strings and choirs.

It's kinda hard to describe how I'm feeling about this album but I'll try my best

Deepfake is my favorite on this album, but the problem with that is that Deepfake does it better than every other song on this album. So listening to the album, all the other songs kinda lose their "oomph" because there are no sounds or moments unique to that song specifically, and the glitch pop becomes overdrawn and ultimately the goodness of the album just depends on the best song on ... read more

이달의 소녀 [LOONA] - [+ +]

the production sometimes feels "just safe enough"

Bangers for sure, but eh. The last tracks kind of fall off

Clipse - So Be It
100

This song is absolutely insane.

Pharell William isn't known for his sample work, but he digs up a sample that has never been used, and the artist has never been sampled either. So it's a super ultra rare find.

He not only chops up the sample, he then slows it and reconfigures. This is peggy level of sampling going on.

He also uses reverse claps which is creative, and uses an unusual drum pattern choice for a hiphop song.

And it just works. Pharell takes what everyone else is ... read more

Corey Feldman - Angelic 2 the Core
5

Corey Feldman did what he wanted to do and I bet you he had hell of a fun time making this album. I respect that.

Joey Bada$$ - Lonely At The Top
70

What top bro ur peak was 1999

Sabrina Carpenter - Man's Best Friend
40

Chat, will Sabrina ever come out with a single song that ISN'T about sex?

monotonous pop, sex lyrics, boring production

jack antonoff? someone jack Sabrina off so the post nut clarity hits her and she starts making good music

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future
84

Yo I had a dream last night where Clipse was actually a hiphop trio with Denzel Curry as the third member and they came out with an album called "Cassette Rewinder" and shit was so fire

Lorien Testard - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Original Soundtrack)
90

I listened to this the entire day instead of my teachers in class.

This was much more preferred over listening to a fuck ass explanation about how our government works
America is fucked anyway

Christopher Larkin - Hollow Knight (Original Soundtrack)

Silksong is dropping Silksong is dropping Silksong is dropping Silksong is dropping Silksong is dropping

The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
78

It's solid, it's valid. There are great songs on here but some are just so different in quality from others it's quite confusing. Not a perfect 10, but it's a close 8.

Laufey - A Matter of Time
80

I'm gonna listen to this while drinking matcha and reading books

Deftones - private music
80

Maroon 5 - Love Is Like

Racing Mount Pleasant - Racing Mount Pleasant

Chance the Rapper - STAR LINE

"@NonAnon I'm afraid ur interacting with either bots or paid actor account made today, a single review and it's a 100 on the new album. And to the paid actor: "it's so tight, I MEAN- our relationship" the line itself does imply/have sexual undertones."

"@inertema Bossa nova emerged in Brazil in the late 1950s as a deliberate fusion of samba and jazz, often credited to artists like João Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and Vinicius de Moraes. Bossa nova took syncopation and melodies of samba and recreated them with the harmonies of American jazz. The genre's 'iconic sound' is calm and gentle fingerstyle-guitar patterns, samba's rhythmic drive, smooth vocals, and chords drawn from jazz, such as 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths. To your credit, Samba is in fact a Brazilian genre that is independent of jazz origins or direct influence. But you have to read a bit more carefully before you comment. NonAnon is talking about Bossa Nova, and Bossa Nova is often best described as a samba/jazz fusion."

"@noxiiEM, one more https://www.loudandquiet.com/interview/car-seat-headrest-cover-story-will-toledos-12-album-overnight-success-story/ "The journey towards what became ‘Teens of Denial’ began in 2014, as a reaction to the response he received to his 2013 double album ‘Nervous Young Man’. “I think people just had a hard time listening to it because it was so long...Usually knowing what you want to do does take longer to come into shape because you have to reject more material...This rejected material eventually found a home on ‘How to Leave Town’.""
On Car Seat Headrest - How To Leave Town
"@noxiiEM https://uproxx.com/music/car-seat-headrest-bandcamp-albums/ "That’s one of the reasons why [Teens of Denial] took so long for me to write. It was about two years before it was done because I was generating a lot of material but I wanted a certain aesthetic for it and it took me a while before I had enough pieces that it could really feel coherent in that way. For me [How To Leave Town] reads like basically a B-sides/outtakes collection but sort of conceptually so, not just that literal thing. A lot of the times, to me, a collection of outtakes that a band puts out from a certain era will be more interesting as an album listening experience""
