Linkin Park - The Hunting Party
20

Rebellion slaps, but I really just don't vibe with what this album is going for. Some of the songs have grown on me in the years since I first heard them, but overall I think this album is simply not very good.

Slipknot - Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)
77

I know this is the golden child album that can do no wrong to Slipknot fans, but I've always found it a bit uneven. For every banger like Duality or Before I Forget we get some not so great tracks like Circle or Vermillion 2. Overall I really like the majority of the album, and the greats really do save it for me, but at the end of the day I find it to be a relatively middling experience, with many tracks that I skip more often than not.

Slipknot - We Are Not Your Kind
81

A massive return to form while still keeping elements of experimentation. It all works really well, but those intermission style tracks really kill the pacing. Still a banger tho.

Slipknot - All Hope Is Gone
84

I'm aware my taste is a bit odd compared to some, but this album really is a banger on all fronts. I'm surprised to see so many of my favorite tracks on this album scored so low, as Butcher's Hook and This Cold Black are top tier Slipknot in my opinion, but those seem to be what's dragging this album down for a lot of people. The sound is definitely a bit different than their previous work but I really do think it comes together and works, and we got some absolute bangers out of it as a result. ... read more

Slipknot - .5: The Gray Chapter
55

I really really wish I loved this album, but I just don't. Not even The Devil in I, the one song I can honestly say I really like, can salvage this one for me. It's not bad, but it's absolutely Slipknot's lowest point.

Slipknot - Iowa
75

I do feel this is a notable step down from Self Titled, but there is still a LOT to love on this album. To me, the highs just don't reach the same level as Self Titled, or Vol.3 and the lows are just a bit lower than I'd like to see. Not the worst Slipknot album, and honestly still a very enjoyable album overall, but it's on the lower end of Slipknot in my opinion.

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
92

The album that made me realize I knew a LOT more Fleetwood Mac than I thought I did.
This album is groundbreaking for the time it came out and an easy listen despite the often darker nature of the lyrics.
Some of the smoothest bass I've ever heard too. Banger album.

Linkin Park - One More Light
10

There's a reason one more light is the only well reviewed song on this entire album. The song is genuinely heartbreaking, and beautiful. Honestly I think it deserves an even higher score than it has. It's the perfect farewell song for Chester and should have been the final track on the album. Unfortunately the rest of the album is unlistenable. Out of 10 songs, one of them is perfect and the rest are trash, so 10/100 seems appropriate.

So long Chester. Thank you for everything.

Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight
88

Not as good as the first two, but there are still some absolute bangers here. The pacing could use some work, and the change in energy is definitely jarring but as it's own thing this is, in my opinion, Linkin Park's most mature album and would have been an absolute high point to go out on.

Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
100

The first two Linkin Park albums genuinely have no low points and that's wild to me. I love every song, even down to their placement in the album itself. Say what you will about the rest of their music, but these first two albums are perfect to me.

Linkin Park - Meteora
100

My only wish is that I could tell Chester in person how this album changed the trajectory of my life.

Slipknot - Slipknot
95

This album fucks.

Atreyu - Congregation of the Damned
90

My favorite era of Atreyu by far. As a musician myself this is my favorite album to play along to which doesn't speak to it's quality per se, but it does speak for it's energy. This album really is hit after hit, with Storm to Pass and Coffin Nails being highlights for sure.

Lacuna Coil - Shallow Life
80

This is not Lacuna Coil's best album, but it is my favorite.
This album has this infectious energy that just makes me want to root for it even when no one else will. It is absolutely the black sheep of the discography, but I genuinely bop to every song on this album and Wide Awake specifically is my favorite Lacuna Coil track of all time.

Panic! at the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out
100

Genuinely my favorite album of all time. I've been reading other's reviews of this album and one of our fellow users described this album as "nonsense to the rhythm of a heart attack" and while I'm sure that was intended as derogatory, that's the most glowing review imaginable for an album like this. It kicks ass and I genuinely love it so much.
