I'm not repeating what's already been said. it's generic, though I will say there are somethings to enjoy here.
Favorite Songs: Creep, You, Anyone Can Play Guitar, Blow Out, Ripcord
Least Favorites: Thinking About You, Lurgee, I Can’t, Vegetable
I wasn't expecting blameitonjorge's WDTICF Iceberg video to bring me here but I'm glad it did!
Much more enthusiasm here than Cheshire Cat.
Favorite Songs: Emo, Voyeur, Dammit, Untitled, Pathetic, Dick Lips, Apple Shampoo, Waggy, Josie, A New Hope
Least Favorites: Boring, Degenerate, Enthused
Some tracks feel as they don't have that much energy to them, and the mixing with the vocals kinda sucks sometimes. However, overall this album is decent and has parts worth coming back to, but what the hell were those last few songs?
Favorite Songs: M+M’s, Cacophony, Carousel, Peggy Sue, Toast and Bananas, Wasting Time
Least Favorites: Just About Done, Romeo and Rebecca, Ben Wah Bells, Depends, Sometimes
A more cheerful album than it's predecessor, Villains is a bit more rockabilly-ish and maybe poppy but still a strong, fun album.
The Dirty Heads went with a more lo-fi vibe for their eighth record. It works pretty well in their favor, but unfortunately the biggest hit from this thing is a really weak song compared to everything else. I like the persisting theme of pirates and the ocean throughout, so I pirated it (DISCLAIMER: For legal reasons, this is a joke). My least favorite details are the vocals and the overuse of autotune (one of the reasons I don't like "Life's Been Good). Still, not even that sunk ... read more
I wish these lyrics and vocals were better. Pretty mid, but I like the chorus.
They kinda sound like Imagine Dragons, until they don’t. I don’t know it’s weird to describe. Many bits of this album sound pretty overproduced and a lot of lyrics sound cheap.
Favorite Songs: Midnight Demon Club, Wild Eyed Son, Pink Lullabye, Evangeline, New California
Least Favorite Songs: Love Like This, Cool Kids, Caught On Fire, Need to Say
These songs should’ve been on the self-titled album in place of some tracks. They would’ve actually fit! Got some nice variety to it.

Super Moon is like the melodic tone of "Sound of Change", the paradise-like sound of "Cabin by the Sea", and the rapping from "Swim Team" combined. The results ended up a success to the ear. A lot of these songs are memorable with some of the greatest beats from the Dirty Heads I've heard. A step in the right direction after their previous record!

Swim Team is a bit of a mixed bag. "Celebrate" and "So Glad You Made It" are great songs, while at the same time, tracks like "Mad At It" and "Diamonds & Pearls" counter in duality. I'm probably gonna get some flack for calling "Vacation" a genuinely good song, but what the hell. A lot of these tracks (especially the lower ratings) were much lower than they now are. I guess I put too much thought into the general public. Even with the ... read more
One of the very few songs that should genuinely not fucking exist
I feel as This was ahead of its time.
(Also 100th Rating or Whatever IDK)
Although there are plenty of great songs from their eponymous fifth album, it feels like the Dirty Heads got a bit tired writing songs. A few tracks are noticeably weaker, and two I'd maybe even consider filler. In terms of writing and composition, the Night half is better, even with Smoke & Dream. Even if this LP struggles to stay consistently good, it isn't bad at all.

It took me a while to get used to the sound of some of these songs, but man are a lot of these songs fun.

At first it felt a bit repetitive, but the more I listened to it, the more it got to me.
SOME-TIMES I NEED TO BUST A NUT
The lyrics sound like they came from some edgy person from the early 2010’s, which is a shame because I love the chorus, tempo, and vibe (Without the lyrics) of MCID’s 14th track and final single.
