“You really crack me up” is said FOURTEEN times in this one and a half minute thing. That's six more than the damn title!
I wish they at least kept going with this electropop sound if they wanted to take this route. The score is mostly held together by the singles, but Maroon 5's fourth LP was a little more enjoyable than the previous.
Favorite Songs: Lucky Strike, One More Night, Beautiful Goodbye, Daylight, Love Somebody, Payphone
Least Favorites: Fortune Teller, Ladykiller, Sad, Doin' Dirt
Not too much I'd kill for, but it had it's fairly interesting moments.
I like the changed sound, although the first half is definitely better and more consistently good than the second.
Favorite Songs: Shadow of the Day, What I've Done, Given Up, No More Sorrow, Leave Out All the Rest, The Little Things Give You Away, Valentine's Day
Least Favorites: Hands Held High, In Between
There are some things in these songs later rerecorded in comparison to listens on Mister Asylum that I actually like better than their final takes. I almost like Black Ocean Lydia better than the LP Studio recording with its rawness. The two unique songs on this EP are fun songs that I kinda wish were rerecorded.
I don't even know what to say, why would you sample Blue and make a song so soulless as possible?
Genres aren't mixed as well here, but still a great album. All of the songs (save for Viper Strike and F.W.Y.T.) are quite strong.
It's more of a deluxe version than a separate album (because that's what it is). Some of these tracks sound more like Puddle of Mudd than Seether.

The main negative I could see is the length of some of these songs, although they don’t feel dragged out to me (except for R-Way Jesus Christ).

While Not as heavy or emotional as later albums, this is still definitely worth a listen. Also I found out that As Above So Below shares a similar style with Self-Titled. I wish this got more attention and was actually on stuff like Spotify and Apple Music instead of being a deep dive into obscurity.
This feels like a song meant to parody average bro-country and its repetitive themes, lack of creativity, and attempt at being cool. That could potentially be a good joke song for one to create.
Unfortunately, it's completely unironic and they're genuinely using the term "Cowboy Drip" in a serious sense.
I’ma be honest: at least the first 3 had more energy to them and were much more tolerable. This is FGL's anti-peak. They've hit the bottom of the barrel of creativity. New Truck is their worst song imo. The vocals on some tracks are even more obnoxious than they ever have been, and you'd think Brian's decent performances could at least aid some songs, and yes, they can, if he actually had more to sing here! I had little to no fun listening to this album and I really ... read more
Who else blasted this album at full volume instead of celebrating Christmas with their family?
Favorite Songs: Everything
Least Favorite Songs: Nothing (except The Hawk Tuah Song; it took the kids and the bed)
Radiohead got nothing on this.
