Florida Georgia Line is essentially the Nickelback of Country Music, in the sense that they brought down the reputation of country music in general. A lot of the songs are uninteresting, bland, and feel longer than they actually are.

A Disgusting and Disgraceful Album.

This is pretty much 17 without the fun and “so bad it’s good” quality. It is also way too long.

One issue with this album is the inconsistency; some songs sound a bit like Pop. The last five songs are more emotional than the previous ten (except heatwave). I feel like emotional topics fit country music pretty well IMO.

Favorite Songs: Music is Healing, Dig Your Roots, God, your Mama, and Me, While He’s Still Around, May We All, Grow Old

Least Favorite Songs: Heatwave, Lifer, Smooth

Gets a bit less interesting and a bit mopey after the two singles, but there are still great songs past that point.
Favorite Songs: Right Now, Non-Toxic, Empty Spaces, Last Man on the Moon, Politically Correct (Hot Take, I know)

An album with emotion, authenticity, and amazing intrumentals.

Funny how Simply the Best is Simply the Best this album has to offer.

While this album is really bad, it still ends up being good because of that (mostly).

Green Day wouldn’t be the same without this album. Neither would Punk Rock.

The song was so generic and boring I once thought it was a stock song.

I’m not the biggest fan of country, but this song is really good.

While this album is far from perfect, I think this is a wee bit of an over-hated album. Some tracks stayed to what this band is in some ways and did it well, such as “16”, “Canals”, and especially “Upperdrugs”, but at the same time a good amount of songs like “The Silk Road”, “Freakstreet”, and “Taking Off” are quite unfitting. This album is really creative! Every song on here is incredible! The lyrics, breakdowns, guitar riffs, and vocals all go so hard. This is what I consider my favorite SOAD album.

This is back when Maroon 5 was a really good band. Too bad Adam’s ego turned the band into mostly cheap pop.
