Great performances of some of the best songs from their eps and their debut, God’s Country. That bass tone is thick as fuck and makes the songs go even harder, especially on songs like Rainbow Meat and Why. Raygun is super charming and goofy on the interludes of him bantering while they figure out what to play (they didn’t have a setlist lol). The Deafheaven mention was also very cool.

The album was good, but the second half noticeably falls off. Nothing really interesting or unique about the last 4 songs to me. The first half is some damn good Nirvana worship though, even if sometimes he sounds EXACTLY like Kurt Cobain, specifically track 2, where it's basically a Hum song with Kurt Cobain as the vocalist. Join Hands is one of the best 70s post-punk albums I have heard. I'd also say it's pretty much the start of gothic rock in album form, and the noise rock elements in it only enhance it. It's dark and raw, which is what I love in a goth album. There's some good songs here, and there's some that are just ok. I think it's an improvement from their 2023 EP though. It sounds a little bland and generic for a windmill post punk band, and many of the gothic elements just come down to atmospheric synths, with not much in the way of building a real atmosphere or interesting lyrics.

Ok the Oxygen edit is hilarious and pisses me off so much, but at least the core song is still one of the best songs ever made, right? The whole "HEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY THEEEEEEEERRRREEEEEE.... DOG MAN!!!!!!!" section feels pretty similar to the original, but the first minute and last 30 seconds are abysmal and ruin any build up the song had.
