The hate for this album is undeserved and uncalled for. The experimental production on this album is insane but my favorite moments off of the album are some of the Jazz/Neo-Soul cuts. This is arguably Tyler's most important album in his discography, and my 2nd favorite album of his.
This is a masterpiece! From start to finish this feels like cinema. Every song builds up gradually but it always pays off for a fantastic result.
Very introspective and mature album from Rashad, as well as some very smooth performances too. The features absolutely delivered on this album too! Overall enjoyed it a lot. Really looking forward to the next Isaiah Rashad album in 2031.......

North West's debut EP, and it's actually not that bad. Nothing worth going back to but it's still solid. Not a chance that any of these samples were cleared tho.
Lets be honest here.... Tyler is never topping this album. It's his most creative work to date, along with a concept executed damn near perfectly.
This album has beautiful and ethereal production, yet it seems to be very personal. I love this project despite some of its consistency issues. The vibe of this feels like you're trapped in some very old, open world video game that you're trying to get out of.

"I'm still gon' squeeze Akademiks titties, that fat bastard."
Freddie Gibbs rapping about murder and selling crack over the most beautiful, lavish, and luxurious beats you will ever hear. It's incredible! The Godfather reference on the album cover is also a nice touch.
Solid summertime album but its mostly carried by the singles and gets a little boring towards the second half.

This deadass might be a top 10 album of all time. The soundscape is incredible, every song makes you feel like you're ascending and the vocals are straight up heaven sent. Some of the best vocal performances i've ever heard. Once you get a better understanding of the lyrics, it will make you appreciate the song writing a lot more. But yeah, can someone recommend me more albums like this? because this is absolutely fantastic and i've never heard anything like it.
THIS IS HEAVEN! This album is so ethereal and sends you to another dimension. The vocals and synth production are obviously incredible but the most remarkable thing about this album is the song structures, and how smoothly each song progresses. When you think the song couldn't possibly get better. It somehow gets even better! This is synth pop heaven and some of the best production i've ever heard. 10/10
I wish I could appreciate this more but most of it sounds like medieval music to me. Great vocals tho

I've never had an album grow on me this much years after my first listen. This is easily Denzel's best album. The amount of aggression he has shown throughout this project is insane. I don't think we will ever hear Denzel rap with this much energy ever again. Denzel just flows so well on these very dark, hard hitting trap beats. I also love the eerie horror movie vibe this album gives off. It makes for an even more intriguing listening experience.
Damn and Gnx are two of the most overrated Kendrick albums. The difference with Damn is that it's both introspective and mainstream appealing, with Gnx it seemed like he was only going for mainstream appeal. Some of his most ambitious songs are on here, along with some of his worst. Although the highlights do outweigh the filler tracks on this album, it still proves that Kendrick isn't as consistent as critics make him out to be. Very good album still.
This is hella underrated. You need to listen to this if you ain't tapped in. Some of the most heavenly cloud rap instrumentals of all time are on this album.
And yes, this is an album NOT an EP
