One of like three albums to ever make me SOB. I recommend this one for all my depressed girlies out there, it was released 50 years ago yet still sounds so fresh due to the sheer rawness of the lyrics and production (and vocals aided by primal scream therapy of course)
This album is so captivating that it grabs you on first listen, but as there is so much going on production wise, with every new listen more layers are unveiled. She put EVERYTHING in this album and you can tell. This is so refreshing from a pop star. A masterpiece that will still be talked about in 40 years time. The Ray Of Light of our generation.
Easily Taylor’s most adventurous and risk-taking record yet (apart from rep of course which let’s be honest the production is hit-or-miss on that album). It’s a cliche but evermore really does give you that cosy feeling. A beautiful album with so much heart.
While you need a bit of time to sit with this album due to just how many MCs there are; once you get it you understand why it’s a classic.
