First listen this sounded too weird for me, but the more I listen the more joy this song gives me. She's grown up as an artist so much recent years, she can deliver bangers like the old days but with her own twist. She's bringing something new to the table while bringing the party. Cannot wait for the album <3
I've been trying to figure out months now why the hell do I kinda like this song...? I agree with all the criticisms people have given this song. Still, it fascinates me in some sort of way, like it's such a trainwreck you cannot not watch it.. I don't believe she's loving it at all in the song, she might say so but my theory is that the reality's too hard so she's trying hard to cope with it and is trying to convince herself (and the audience) that all is fine... ... read more
This album is worth of all the praise it's gotten. A combination of excellent production, catchiest melodies, vulnerable lyrics but at the same time it's so damn fun... It's pop at it's best, such an enjoyable listen!
I've never been able to decide how to feel about this album, as it's such a mixed bag an album. like there's so many tracks here that should not have made the album like Cure, Poor twisted me and Thorn within. Then there's the just ok ones, yeah not reinventing anything or being that special but they are still jam worthy and I would not skip the song (Ain't my bitch, 2x4, and yes King nothing that sounds far too similar to Enter sandman, idk why it's the highest ... read more
This album is just so excellent it's insane. Mustaine was so hungry and determined to succeed and revenge, and you'll hear it from the energy here. The first album already had the makings of a classic but this was the showoff and they came up with a classic. There is no track here that doesn't hit, the lyrical themes are just so creative and clever, only Mustaine comes up with stuff like this like with the title track with the witty lines and social commentary, also the ... read more
It's insane how this album keeps up every single listen. You drown into it, it's art in the highest form. My first love recommended this album for me and said it's so weird and you've never heard anything like it (also said it's depressive but it's ok as I said I listen to that kinda music). He was right, it is weird and unlike anything else. I was shocked actually on my first listen, but quickly adjusted into it's world. It's funny how some of the songs ... read more
I think this album is a cohesive, smooth little pop album. It doesn't go too ambitious, but it's a nice listen with pretty vocals and overall relatabe lyrics. Vocals are excellent as usual from Ariana, but I'm not hearing the "big" vocal performances she's had earlier in her career? But maybe that's the point. Lyrically I like how this album is full circle with a question in the beginning and answer in the end - how do you know you've found the right ... read more
This album reminds me of a painting in a museum, like you'd appreciate the effort and emotion required in making it and understanding why it deserves to be there. You know you've seen something never seen before, you know someone talented made this and you get that it has it's admirers for a reason. But you would not want to watch the painting every day, nor maybe ever again, just one time looking at it was enough because of it's intensity. Yet you know that to get the painting truly you should ... read more
