Overall it is a great album, it’s sad, emotional, and chaotic. Not really my cup of tea tho. It was a good listen but at times kind of repetitive, except for a few songs that really stuck with me .
I hate how music has become a tool of propaganda. You idolise this girl, who has reinvented herself in an image of a cool and mysterious girl, so as to seem reletable, a girl like all the others, not famous, to get publicity and manipulate little girls. And meanwhile children in Middle East are dying only because they are guilty of being born. That being said, the album is okay and i liked it…but i’m too political to enjoy it in a disengaged context.
this is kind of what 1d was supposed to be, so sad it is the last album π
non so perché non l’avevo recensito prima! questo album ha tutto: pop anni 70, jazz, funkjazz e influenze rock anni 60 (trust me). bellissimo. melo pezzo preferito π’
it’s got a little bit of everything. vault tracks are okay. jack you did that tho!!!
aaand here are the best tracks, speaking of lyrics. cause what do you mean if clarity’s in death then why won’t this die????
To me, this is really her best re-recorded one. Her mature voice singing about never wanting to grow up makes me sob. I’m too personally attached to speak now to give an objective review. π£
she should’ve left this in 2014. that being sad, the vault tracks brought me back and made me feel nine again, but this time i’m more of a bitch.
thank god she detached herself from even the last shred of country in her works. new romantics invented pop.
Imagine having just left the most famous pop boyband of the 2000s, where all you were allowed to do was sing a bunch of nonsense lyrics about teenage love and gratitude towards your fan, and immediately coming up with an album full of deep personal references and soft/pop rock influences. Everything you’ve ever thought about writing can now be written, in the shape of dark (but not so dark) metaphors. I am absolutely fond of this album, to which i feel spiritually and emotionally deeply ... read more
A poet must spoke their feelings in order to be free; the saddest wounds we carry are self-inflicted - as Swift would say- but how would we acknowledge that, if it wasn’t for poetry? The concept this albums brings is as easy as this. However, it can lead to complexity if one analyses the various and valid interpretations put forward by critics regarding this matter.
This double album has it all: music, lyrics, storytelling, poetry, aesthetic. The length does not weigh it down at all; if ... read more
omg shut up. the only good part in the album is Carly Holt’s solo in About You. the rest is ugh
Peccato!!!
