Ethel Cain - Perverts

“It's happening to everybody”. Perverts by Ethel Cain is a deeply unsettling and raw album filled with many sonically and emotionally profound approaches to different aspects of love and perversions, tackling deep subjects that are usually tied to sexual trauma or self-gratification and isolation through haunting and immense soundscapes with ties to religious imagery and references. I had not known much about Cain, yet I came around to this album by a friend who I discovered to ... read more

Tom Waits - Closing Time

Visiting the start of Tom Waits incredible journey as an artist, “Closing Time” stands as a beginning into the unique storytelling by Tom Waits and amazing capturing songwriting. “Closing Time” is Tom Waits debut, taking only 10 days to make, and compared to his other works that ive listened to, where he derived a bit from this style and started to go into more experimental territory, its interesting to hear a more mellow and somber start. His vocals, though still a bit ... read more

The National Recording Registry called it “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” which it truly is, and Rolling Stone put it at number 12 of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. You hear this album from multiple music heads and critics all the time because it truly lives up to its sheer influence. Hearing only ... read more

Fall Out Boy - Infinity on High

My friend, being a huge FOB fan, after making me listen to “Folie a Deux”, made me listen to their album “Infinity On High”. Now considering “Folie a Deux” is all ive listened to them from, I'll make a lot of comparisons between this album and that one. Well, first thing I want to say is that it was very interesting hearing Jay-Z at the beginning; I thought it was a neat intro, but I was lowkey hoping Jay-Z would get a verse in or something, but ... read more
