Periphery on Adderall kinda slaps. The second I saw this album had shorter songs, I knew the hive mind would hate it. I like hearing Periphery trying new things after a few similar (though also awesome) albums.
Metal purists can be such a fucking drag and the fact that this is gonna have a lower rating than their mediocre debut really proves that point.
Hits like an absolute train lyrically. Solo at the end has total P2 vibes. Love the vocal choices here, too. This album is gonna fucking slap.
Very similar to P4, it seems Periphery is hitting us with an aggressive single. Where Blood Eagle was visceral bruality, Mr. God goes full stank face groove. The mix here is damn near perfect and I am loving some of the mixups from both the guitar work and even Spencer's vocals. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. I just gotta finally admit that I am Periphery pilled.
Loved their debut. This feels like a more cohesive version of that. Slightly repetitive but thankfully there are no skips.
