The Gap Band - Gap Band IV

all of these songs hit like a mf. but early in the morning, outstanding, you dropped a bomb on me, and talking back hit the hardest. that’s already half the tracks.

The Gap Band - The Gap Band III

charlie wilson carried hard but tbf he couldn’t do it alone

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

i got a bone to pick

Cee-Lo Green - The Lady Killer

I hate to give him such a low score because he's such a good singer but this album is all over the place. He needed to find a sound and stick with it because the songs that hit HIT like a mf.
Only notable songs are "Fool for you" and "Bodies" only songs that I think have the sound that really takes advantage of and lifts up his voice. They're really good songs if you like rnb i highly rec.

D'Angelo - Brown Sugar

D'Angelo - Voodoo

I don’t even know where to start with this album. So I won’t. I’d be here for weeks otherwise.

RM - Right Place, Wrong Person

I did one full listen and honestly i’m lowkey impressed. I’ve heard my fair share of bts radio music and to say the least, in my humble opinion, most of it is ass and is all an obvious cash grab. I can respect music that’s pop heavy but when there’s no thought put into it? nuh-uh. so i have to give props to RM for expanding his sound beyond the copy and paste k-pop bts is known for.

but i rated this so low for a reason, it’s a step in the right direction but the ... read more

Michael Jackson - Thriller

Thriller is the best-selling album of all time and yet I still don't think it's truly mj's greatest work. Doesn't that say something?

At the same time, every track on this album is gold.

Michael Jackson - Off the Wall

I grew up listening to mj. Really, I was listening to his music well before I was born but that doesn't change the journey I've had with his music. I've grown up idolizing him but I never got to truly explore his discography until I got older. And what a trip it's been. There are songs on this album that I've learned to love over the years and one and still hate with a burning passion(girlfriend) but that doesn't change the absolute respect I have for Quincy and Michael for putting this work of ... read more

Ice Cube - AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted

Easily his best work imo and the beginning of a new era. (well really Straight Outta Compton was but you get the point)

Must-listen tracks are
- The Nigga Ya Love To Hate
- AmeriKKKa's Most wanted (title track)
- Gangsta's Fairytale
- Turn Off the Radio

But you can't go wrong with any of them fr.

"@lomatinz my problem isn't the meaning of the album it's that this doesn't feel authentic, makes sense since he's probably pretty foreign to the genre but it doesn't feel like he put a lot of original influence into it."
