whilst not as good as blue lines or mezzanine it is still a great album with standouts like, "Pray For Rain", "Paradise Circus" and my favorite "Girl I love You" but some of the other songs just fall a bit flat and that is why it is not quite Massive Attack's peak but still definetly worth a listen with songs to return to.
This shit slams so hard gotta be honest! Can see myself revisiting this a lot such a vibe.
I had heard multiple good things about it and one of those where it definetly didn't dissapoint even though it was the kind of music I don't find myself listening to all that often tbh. Check this out for sure!
This album sounds like if you go steal cookies from your grandma, tasty and you know what you are going to get but also gets a bit old and dusty after a while. anyways that's all I wanted to say, later.
DO NOT LET THE TURTLES GET TO THIS ALBUM!
This album has multiple 10/10 songs for me but it also has some songs that just doesn't hit the same high which drags it down a bit. Overall really great album though and I guess having it as an 10/10 or 100/100 would be acceptable ;)
Whilst I do prefer the OG Rocky I do respect that he is now much older and of course want to make so music that is kinda different. While it is different it is still Rocky and Rocky is talented and multiple songs on here are great so still a good album. thumbs up I guess
Sugoi I love Jazz! Sugoi I love Japan!
Love the energy on this Album some real nice Jazz from a country which I know has a good selection of it I am yet to listen to, strong start from the japan when it comes to my japanese jazz listening experience
Mac DeMarco is so hit or miss I feel like. A couple of songs here are a real vibe but others are just straight up not ass but really meh to kind of bad.... Especially when his music is already made for such a specific vibe where you need to be in a certain kind of mood to enjoy it. I don't think I'm the biggest DeMarco fan out there to be honest and that might also be why...
Unsure whether I prefer this or bitches brew but this might be peak Jazz or close to atleast
Timothée Chalamet's first album is actually pretty good not gonna lie. Even though I am not the biggest UK hip hop listener I do quite enjoy this and its short nature makes it easy to consume. His single "Century" released after this album also might be his best song so interested in what Timothée Chalamet's future in music holds
I hear about this as if it is one of the magnum opuses of Jazz and it was great buuuuut. After 3 listens it just didn't catch me like the perfect Jazz album and it is probably an unreasonable high regard to hold it up against, but yeah for me it did just not seem like super special(I might be missing a deeper meaning). Anyyyyways enough of the critique. It is still some good ass Jazz and having not listened to that many full Jazz albums it is still quite a new world for me so was still ... read more
This album is very heavy on the hyperpop in my opinion but I am still not sure how I feel about hyperpop to be honest. That being said I still do think that Danny is great and this works quite well as an album experience and for people who might be more into hyperpop than me will probably love this.
Recommendation from my good friend NewguyFlamma
I have listened to some of Bon Iver's music before like his newest 2025 album. From what I have heard he has a very unique style which is like a double edged sword for me when it comes to his music. On this album I felt like some of the songs were really enjoyable but also like half of them to me felt like filler songs between the actual songs. I did enjoy the first track on here but other than that it was only the 3 song run of "33 ... read more
Certified bangers by deftones, haven’t heard their last few albums yet but they are definitely back
Thought I already reviewed this, absolute banger. Idk what to write, Ensalada this one of the best songs of the year and the album is in the same calibre as the first one.
I have given this a few listens now and it is great, but I keep changing opinion on if its a high or low 80s for me so we landing around the middle. With albums like “Alfredo 2”, “Let god sort them out” and now “God does like ugly” us hip hop fans are eating good. I love JID he is one of my favorite artists in the genre and this album whilst not quite as good as his last. Which is totally fine, it is still great shoutout this goat
Beach/surf bar vibes to the max, listened to this on a Greek beach and it was a vibe definitely but I do not see myself really returning to it because it fills such a unique niche. Frontier psychiatrist was an absolute bop with the dexter’s lab samples
