The guitar work in this album is one of my favorites. The versatility on it.
When I finished listening to it for the first time, the only thing that came to my mind was “Is this it?”. Even though, it has one of Joji’s best work in my opinion, like “Die for You” and “Glimpse of Us”, the album felt unfinished and hollow. Most of the tracks felt more like demos rather than finished work, felt boring and unbalanced, some tracks had so many layers and amazing melodies while others didn’t have much to offer.

Started listening to Tyler in 2020 because it always intrigued me how high people regarded him and since then, I fell in love with his raspy voice, heavy beat tracks and just the way he rapped and carries himself. Loved the messy and confusing Cherry Bomb era, fell in love the moment I heard Flower Boy and all its pop and catchy songs. Even though I did not understand IGOR at first, I gave a few listens and it got to me, it amazed me the way the album was conceived, the storytelling got me ... read more
A very mature sophmore album, not the path that I thought she would take. Even though it's not my favorite genre, Clairo nails it. The vocals are amazing and it's produced beautifully, you can feel the intimacy in her words, feels like she's whispering to me and it feels that she's a lot more comfortable in this scene.
Favorite tracks: Bambi; Amoeba; Joanie
Lacks the expectation that the latter album gave us. Nevertheless a nice sounding album with a ton of experimentations that weirdly pleased me. Favorite Tracks: Jet Skis on the Moat; Body Paint; Hello You
The first couple of songs are a bit repetitive but as you progress along the album it gets better and better with heartfelt lyrics that Simz crushes it with her flow. Favorite Songs: Heart on Fire; Broken
This album couldn’t age any better. It was difficult at first to listen to it because it’s so detached from the sound of their other projects but if you give it some time, you’ll be amazed with the masterpiece that is in front of you. Alex voice sounds amazing in this jazzy scene and with the piano being the main instrument they delivered it, it’s nice to see them switch it up once in a while. I feel like they always have been experimenting since the early days (of ... read more
Undeniably one of the best debut albums ever made. Biggie way of storytelling just makes the tracks so entertaining, and it feels like he never misses details no matter how small they seem about the situation he’s in. The way he uses his tone throughout the tracks just gets you hooked to it, and he doesn’t miss with the beats he used. We also can’t forget about his flow that is astonishing and just something that can’t be matched.

An album that despite being very well crafted, with amazing vocals and with a great vibe, doesn’t feel like much. My expectations weren’t that high for this project, but it still felt disappointing. Maybe it’ll grow on me but at this moment the songs feel very similar, and it felt like some of them didn’t bring nothing new. Though it is a very funky and disco-ish album that honestly, I would start listening to it in the radio if the station existed.
