This LP is my first in the Electropop genre and it was an amazing experience to say the least, i love the isolation theme that was used across the LP and the way that 'underscores' manages to infuse yearning into a Elctro/Dance Pop LP and the whole thing is just catchy throughout the whole LP.
I loved the production on this album is quite vibrant in a sense and the only downside is Rich Amiri doesn't sound like the correct person for some of these beats and he sometimes doesn't match the flow to be honest. But this was a massive step in the right direction and overall the album was very positive.
I really don't get the issue with this album Tyga and Chris Brown work well together on this LP and they have created some classical songs which you can put on in any situation the flow and beats are amazing and i do get that a lot of the songs are about sexual intercourse but that doesn't mean that the album is terrible it's just a theme that they have set out for this album.
Lauryn Hill mix of Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop on this album was nothing but perfection she fused the genres together spectacularly and the vocals on this album are nothing but majestic and the songwriting and lyrics hold a different type of meaning showing what happens when love turns sour and the thing that i love about this album so much is the fact that she produced most of it herself which is extremely impressive.
I've always been a casual Mac Miller fan and i didn't find out about him until a year ago and then i looked into his death more and the tragic manner of it and this made me re-listen to his albums and Swimming instantly gained a lot more meaning showing how Mac Miller has had to climb out of his depressive episode and his heartbreak after breaking up with star Ariana Grande and the album really had me trapped in a wave of emotions
