I somehow hadn't really ever spun this record till after Brian's death. Dang, it's got to be one of their best, and it's underdiscussed IMO.
I hate when modern CCM bands reimagine classic hymns like this.
Truly a fire Christmas song - belongs on playlists.

Very clearly an album pieced together quickly to take advantage of the explosion of singles. Some really solid bops, alongside some very forgettable b-sides.
Top three: Espresso, Juno, Taste

Starflyer 59 is a fascinating project. A band that pioneered, and evolved, but never exploded in popularity. This dude is pretty good in 1-minute videos. Any longer than that and they drag a lot.

Love nobigdyl, love the sentiment, love certain tracks, but it's overall not my favorite.

I *want* to love this, but for some reason McMillan's stuff has never connected for me. Will spin a few more times to see what happens!

The original "Christian Eminem" came before NF. Perhaps it'd be better to call him the "Christian Slim Shady". This album is basically Christian-mom approved Shady, including interludes, beats, and his own version of "Real Slim Shady". Well-made, surely sold a lot at the local Lifeway.
Is it just me or does this sound like a Kacey Musgraves song?
Also why would you not just stick with the producer of your biggest hit ever? The difference in energy between the two track is insane.

BRAT accomplishes an impressive feat. it is an upbeat dance record, while being arguably Charli's most personal record to date. This juxtaposition makes sense when knowing her past, growing up in the club scene, but it works.
