Linkin Park ditches their former selves again for a more mainstream, kind of thing you would hear at target-ish sound, this time kind of more so, although they did it with their last album before this one too.
The first three songs are cool I guess, mostly the first one. Aside from that, it’s not longer than it needs to be. Just kind of an aight album.
These are honestly some of their best songs. It’s honestly just a great 17 minute run, it flows smoothly.
This was actually a lot better than I was expecting, I thought I would get some bland melodic metalcore, which I guess it kind of is, but I found it to be very good, pretty much right on with The Sin and the Sentence, I guess.
I would consider myself a fan of Dimmu Borgir, but I wouldn’t have expected them to release an album so soon, although it’s nice to see they did.
This is better than Mayhem’s album earlier this year, I’ll also be waiting on the new Immortal album coming later this year too.
Honestly just really enjoyable melodic metalcore. The tone of the instruments are sharp, the songs are engaging, and those solos hit, along with emotional choruses.
It starts very good, but the later songs aren’t as strong, any melodic metalcore fan should consider this album. I think it can be kind of overrated, but it’s a good album.
