Really great instrumental jazz fusion metal. Love the heck out of this. I’m surprised it doesn’t have more ratings.
This band is very affiliated with the well-respected OSDM band Cynic, being formed by one of its members, and another one being guested, this definitely tries to be very much like Cynic, but being unique enough and instrumental makes it niche, but definitely a breakthrough in its kind.
Just like on Crimson, the riffs are really what make this a great sequel, and what made the first “Crimson” so good. I will say though, the vocals are kind of bad on this one, but the keyboards and riffs make up for it more than perfectly.
Linkin Park ditches their former selves again for a more mainstream, kind of thing you would hear at target-ish sound, this time kind of more so, although they did it with their last album before this one too.
The first three songs are cool I guess, mostly the first one. Aside from that, it’s not longer than it needs to be. Just kind of an aight album.
These are honestly some of their best songs. It’s honestly just a great 17 minute run, it flows smoothly.
This was actually a lot better than I was expecting, I thought I would get some bland melodic metalcore, which I guess it kind of is, but I found it to be very good, pretty much right on with The Sin and the Sentence, I guess.
I would consider myself a fan of Dimmu Borgir, but I wouldn’t have expected them to release an album so soon, although it’s nice to see they did.
This is better than Mayhem’s album earlier this year, I’ll also be waiting on the new Immortal album coming later this year too.
Honestly just really enjoyable melodic metalcore. The tone of the instruments are sharp, the songs are engaging, and those solos hit, along with emotional choruses.
It starts very good, but the later songs aren’t as strong, any melodic metalcore fan should consider this album. I think it can be kind of overrated, but it’s a good album.
If Travis Scott made metal:
Forgot I listened to this. Ngl, it’s strange even just compared to their debut, but I like it for sure, some songs are much better than others, but the ones that are good hit.
If you like any reviews on this album, ice floats out of the screen!
Ok, now I can actually rate and review the album.
Ngl, the first few tracks were honestly better than I was expecting. They’re not great or anything, but it makes ICEMAN🥶💎 better than some of Drake’s other newer music. The last few tracks though are just a ramble, if not rushed.
The hype for this album with that giant block of ice in Toronto was pretty crazy. Not a bad scheme by Drake.
Pull Me Under, Metropolis Pt. 1, and Learning to Live are such bangers.
The only problem though is the inconsistency on some tracks. A few of them sound like music from a church, and that’s not bad, but they don’t live up to the peak.
Images and Words is without a doubt the most important progressive metal album there is. It smoothly combines elements of prog rock with metal.
Porcupine Tree was cooking incredibly hard late career during the 2000’s. This is without a doubt one of their best albums.
Only having heard the most popular song from this album for a while, the full product is better than I was expecting.
It’s straightforward, solid material.
A decent Linkin Park release, although the last three were preferable, this is a solid addition to their discography.
Sludge metal review on 4/20? Definitely not bad. The first song is cool I guess, but there is nothing that special about Equilibrium. Not their best, but not their worst.
Ok seriously though, why is “Go Away” trending? It’s now their most popular song on Spotify, despite having just 600K views on Youtube. This album is now getting more streams than the Green album and the Blue album, despite the fact that most of its songs have under 5M streams, whereas Green and Blue LPs are huge.
