Not gonna lie, I wasn’t expecting this to be really good. I was also surprised to see this is rated an 85 and has enough ratings to be a must hear.
I realized the reason Crowbar is so popular right now (900k monthly listeners on spo) is because they are trending on Tiktok currently, with some pretty viral videos. Why Crowbar? Idk.
Odd Fellows Rest was a lot like hardcore, although I am not too familiar with sludge metal, this album is even more so.
“Planets Collide” is a great song and defines Crowbar very well, but this album is pretty bloated, it would be better off minus a few songs.
The end was unexpected but some of those last songs are good.
Hold up why are they so popular right now (900k monthly listeners on spo)

I’ve honestly come to like this album a lot. The atmosphere is really good, the guitar tone even matches it really well.
Probably has to be my favorite Green Day album. Jesus of Suburbia is a great song, but some of these definitely drag and aren't as good. This album flows VERY well from start to finish. That's honestly the best part of it easily.
Honestly just really unique, and great prog rock. It’s experimental as it is catchy, and I like the sound they went for.
I have not heard too much symphonic black metal, but this really put the symphonic in it. This album seems to have influence on a decent amount of other Scandinavian metal. The various strings, keyboards, and other instruments do a great job of adding to the atmosphere of this album which already has really good production.
The thing that really harms Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia (what is wrong with their album names lmoa) is how much worse the second half is compared to the stellar ... read more
The legend himself Nas releases a album just before the new year begins. Cool album, although it’s not something I feel like I would see myself coming back to.
Nas is still a great rapper, writing a lot about himself and others on this album, I do find the beats kind of weak.
Although everything he’s released has been much calmer than Illmatic, this especially out of what I’ve heard from him says that.
Officially my 365th rating! I made sure it was to finish an album I enjoy for the 365th.
Iconic thrash metal, it stayed pretty consistent throughout, also, I guess the album cover is cool. It actually reminds me of the music video of Humble by Kendrick.
The first song, like on many albums, is pretty strong. I find it to be the best of the album. Indians is the most popular, I didn’t think it was as good as the first two.
Medley A.D.I / Horror of it all should have been the end, it ... read more
Absolutely fascinating, I feel like I enjoyed this more than the reviewers here, but what an amazing listen.
There were definitely parts that were intentionally dragged on pretty long to make the album longer, and definitely some major dips in quality, but I was definitely expecting that based on the song’s length.
I don’t think I’ve really heard any one hour long songs, besides anything unserious or live/speaking related, so this is definitely nice to hear even just for ... read more
Another entry in the saga of great albums by Yes. The first song is obviously very good. That’s come to be very common by now. The second song is where it shows its weaker bits, maybe filler to be over 40 minutes, but it is still good. The third song is also nine minutes, and a great closer.
Ok, I’m gonna be real, nearing the end of the year, I never really got the hype for this. It might be possible it’s not my thing, but I’m not sure.
Ok not gonna lie, I wasn’t expected this to be so weird, even though that cover for 3D country says so. I definitely wouldn’t say this should be aoty, but definitely an interesting listen nonetheless.
Lowk yuno miles glowup?
Dawg i‘m not gonna ignore how many votes for a 100 this has😭
The weakest of the SoaD albums. Not bad by any means, but it is a bit of a mess and it’s their least consistent LP compared to the others. It has some highlights, but then falls back to a low point.
I didn’t realize I can review and rate albums and hear them on Spotify before they’re supposed to be released?
I literally says on Spotify it came out on November 21st, and today is the 20th.
Unless time zones have to do with it.
I feel like I like this more compared to when I first heard it. I do still think some of these songs are especially weak though.
The first time I heard SOAD, I didn’t find them too special, maybe there is something different about me now that makes me appreciate this more. Despite the positive things I have to say, this is still a 79.
Serj likes to tease at a potential new album release. Ok but be fr, is it going to happen?
Two prog legends team up to form Storm Corrosion.
You can hear both of their voices, and you can hear both of their styles of composing music.
It’s too quiet sometimes, I couldn’t tell the song “Happy” was playing.
Jamaica underwent some storm corrosion with hurricane Mellisa recently. How unfortunate. It looks like natural disaster survival from roblox in real life. People in Gaza have it rough too, but I just be chillin? Some people are just more fortunate than ... read more
