Pra fazer um album de cover voce tem que fazer uma interpretação do material original tão boa quanto ou até melhor do que o original, a luisa sonza faz covers que não apresentam nenhum tipo de destaque, fica parecendo musica de couvert artistico no final.
This album is a disrespect to the punk genre. People really think that punk is just a basic beat with trashy political vocals nowadays.
A lot of generic songs, the ones that try to be authentic seem to copy other famous pop singers. Also this album has absolutely no artistic direction.
The album has great ideas, but they are never fully developed and instead she overlaps these ideas with some pretty bland singer-songwriter type songs. She has great potential as an artist, but this wasn't it.
I like the idea, but it feels more like a metal and a jazz album shuffled together than a cohesive piece
A mixed bag, a some great songs and a lot of mid ones. But really like the feature of some legendary hispanic folk singers such as mercedes sosa.
I wasn't expecting such a great album. The guy is basically if James Brown did prog soul.
Calling this an album is like calling a cup of water soup, just the dullest experience possible, the only reason it's not a 0 is cause it's so generic and uninspered it gets tolerable.
The best parts of the album are the more punk-style songs which she doesn't explore much, but what holds it back for me is how uncreative a lot of the tunes are and how this album doesn't seem to have a consistent style. Still, she did pretty well considering it's her first album in a genre filled with generic and uncreative artists.
It's an unremarkable album, to say that about a Riot Grrrl album is really hard. What makes it worse is that a revolted album is very fitting in todays world and there are some nice ideas laid out, but the lyrics sound infantile and shallow while the compositions sound unfinished.
